Many people think of modelling assignments as
exclusively photographic work, and while we do
supply models for all ages and looks for numerous
photo shoots around the country, this type of
assignment is just one of the categories of work
available to our models. Catwalk, promotional,
couture fitting and TV / Film extra work are also
fun, interesting and well paid areas of the
modelling world. The British designer Amanda Wakeley has made several bookings to work with one of our London based models. Asta is a perfect size ten and as such has the ideal figure to fit the luxury designer gowns and latest collection. Not only does she get a sneaky preview of the beautiful new designs but it is also a great opportunity to see all the goes on behind the scenes of a top London fashion house! Promotional work, such as hosting an event, working on an exhibition stand or publicising a club opening is an enjoyable and diverse category of modelling. You can not only meet a great array of people, but can also make money whilst experiencing the hottest new venues or demonstrating the most recent products on the market! A recent assignment undertaken by four of our adult models in Canterbury is a great example of the nationwide nature of catwalk work. Not all catwalk assignments happen in London, Paris and Milan many local department stores, shopping centres and charities also use our models to display their new merchandise with flare! Fenwick's department store booked Deniece, Natalie, Mike & Oliver to model their new Spring / Summer range at an in-store evening event. Natalie thoroughly enjoyed the experience: "The fashion show was really good, the client was very nice and made me feel really comfortable. I had a great time and gained valuable experience, I'm looking forward to the next assignment." Mike said "The assignment went really well, I found everyone at the event really nice and easy to chat to, the other models which were present were nice and I found that we could relate quite easily. I was a bit nervous at first as I didn't really know what to expect but it has given me more confidence in meeting clients, appearing in public and runway sequences. I very much enjoyed myself and hope to get some more similar assignments or promotional assignments in the future! Thanks a bunch!" So, open your eyes to the vast assortment of modelling assignments out their and grab as many different opportunities as possible! All experience will help you to realise your ambitions! |

Commercial modelling - Things To Remember! A commercial often is a mini-drama. It has a beginning, a middle and an ending. It usually sets up a problem and solves the problem, and everyone "lives happily ever after". When you read the script for a television commercial, you must ask yourself: ! What are they selling? ! How does my character help sell the product or service? ! What is the overall mood? Is it realistic, charming or broad comedy? ! What does my character look like? ! Where does the action take place? In an office? |
