![]() Remember,
for first impressions, we use the pictures you send - to represent you!Make sure they are bright and clear - here are a few examples. • For natural pictures, the key is to make it quick. Children don’t sit still for long, so keep your camera within easy reach. That way you’re more likely to get a natural shot, first time round – hopefully with a big smile. • Get your subject to practice so they have an idea of what they want – with children over 3years do a series of ‘pretend’ shots before you actually start. This will allow you to relax into your role and them to settle down. •
Don’t get too low down or you’ll see a lot of double chins.
The most flattering angle is eye level or slightly above.• Watch what you put your subjects in front of, you don’t want lampshades growing out of their head, or the door handle coming out of their ear!! • Children and babies do love their food but avoid this in the photos it does not look nice. • With all subjects – make sure the shots sent in represent them well – use ones that really show the subject in the best light, and reflect their personality. • Use natural locations such as a park, the light will be more complimentary and the background will look more professional, although, we don’t want more than 10% background. • At all times of the year you can get the odd bright sunny day – taking shots outside will provide you with light that will show up natural highlights in and eye colour. • Taking shots outside especially helps if your skin is dark, as shots taken inside may not show your features clearly. • When shooting a close up, zoom in rather than going too close. Try not to provide us with shots that have lovely scenery, and your subject is tiny! • For those of you with camcorders or digital still cameras send us shots on disc, save as bitmaps or JPEG’s. • Remember to update shots regularly – it is important to keep clients interested – taking the three year Rpresentation Programme ensures updates are free – FOR THREE YEARS! • Don’t forget – if you update with Models Direct remember to add the shots to your International Talent account. If you change your look, change your pictures! |
