hair care affair

Many models with Models Direct have busy work schedules, fitting in assignments around their working careers. If you have an assignment coming up and you want you hair to look its best for the camera here are a few tips.

If you are thinking of adding colour to your hair, many of the products available on the shelves can be too harsh. This will leave it looking dry and overprocessed, rather than sleek and shiny. The way to avoid damaging your crowing glory, if you are thinking of going say blonder, is to minimise the impact on your natural colour by going only two of three shades lighter. Because the lighter you go, the more bleach product is added, and this will have a drastic impact on your hair.

A good tip would be to opt for highlights rather than a complete colour overhaul, and cover only 30-40% of your natural colour. You’ll need t o have them done three or four times a year, but the benefits are that you will maintain a natural look while minimising any long term damage.
If you already colour your hair, but feel it looks a little flat, try using a toner to give it a lift and bring out the brighter, more intense colours of your hair. To retain a healthy look, enrich it with products containing little or no peroxide or ammonia, and choose a vegetable dye or semi-permanent

Lee
colour as it will be altogether gentler. Otherwise, if you merely wish to boost your colour between salon visits, simply use a colour enhancing shampoo for a radiant sheen and healthy look.

Don’t forget, if you change the colour of your hair from say brown to blonde, it is important to remember to tell your co-ordinator and submit updated pictures for your file.

Mini Celebrities make a big impression
It appears to be that time again!!!......It is so hectic in our assignments department that we barely notice the time coming round for the next Image magazine.

Things have been very busy here, and our models have been sent on a wide range of assignments all over the country recently, ranging from photoshoots on Brighton pier for ’Paxton Access’ to television extra work for Talent T.V. on a game show “Casino, Casino”, where 16 of our top London based models whooped and cheered for members of the general public to win money from the show!. However ...enough of the high flying, glamorous life of our more senior models.......Let me you take you on a journey to a smaller, cuter, more cuddly world, a world where even us experienced, and focused assignments coordinators cannot help but let out an “Aaagh” ......I thought I would give a brief peep into the world of Baby modelling.

We have the pleasure of continuing to work with ‘Celebrity Kids’.(Manufacturers and Importers of Babywear and Playwear up to 23 months). After the long and hard task of putting together a compilation of suitable babies to put forward to Lisa from Celebrity Kids we finally sent through pictures of 40 of our little stars, 20 girls, and 20 boys.

Once Lisa had looked at the hopefuls and made an initial shortlist, it was then a matter of finding babies that would fit the clothes, and sit up without the aid of anything other than their own little bodies!!!.

Finally we found our babies: Ruby, Bonnie, Emily, Jenson, Freddie and Archie. All totally adorable, and under 1 yrs old.
Babies and parents all got to the Celebrity Kids headquarters at 10am early December. After a brief and nerve wracking wait, the babies were given their shot on camera one by one.

Sheila Gibson was one mum who was very happy with her daughter Emily’s performance,” They selected Emily, and they liked her so much they used her all morning for photographs, and we then went back after lunch for some more!.They said she was “a little star!!”.
She was so good, she really was so well behaved, and she loved it!.
They put her in lots of different outfits, some with headbands with big bows. What a great day”.

Another mum ‘Chrystal Egan’ found that baby Archie rose to the occasion rather well, when she told me: “Archie sat up properly for the first time”.

He looked very cute in all the outfits and we were very proud of him.”

So our little cherubs were all highly professional mini models, although all that performing was quite exhausting, as Lauren Gregson told me.. “Myself and Bonnie had a really good day at Celebrity Kids. I didn’t know what to expect as it was Bonnie’s first assignment but it turned out to be a brilliant experience. Everyone

Cheri
was really friendly and made a fuss of Bonnie. I was also really pleased as they took good care of all the babies and when Bonnie got tired they took me to a quite room so she could have a sleep. A great day all round!”

So another great day on location.
