in the SPOTLIGHT

Building relationships with our clients is what the assignments team does best. We all work hard to do our very best for our clients and get them the models of their choice.

This makes repeat bookings so much more gratifying.

We had a call from Rod Fraser Associates, who had never used models before. They came to Models Direct to source models for a shoot in July 2005. The brief was to source an older male and female model for a shoot in Borough Market, London. The shortlist went to the client and two models were chosen: Edward, 50 from Essex and Lynda, 53 from Northampton.

The shoot went well and we got some excellent feedback from the assignment. We had taken the time to get RFA the models they wanted, they had been pleased. So it was wonderful that, in January 2006, RFA called again wanting to book the models again for another assignment in February: a conference they were doing at Heathrow.

I gladly called the models and said they had been rebooked by RFA – both were thrilled. I also had to source another male model for the same conference, so we put together a selection for the client. They chose Anthony, 42 from Ashford. Having checked his availability, we booked him for the assignment too.

All the details were confirmed to our models and they were ready to go. The day before the assignment the timings had to change. All our models were very flexible and supportive – which is a good thing to be; because clients remember it!

They went to conference, had a run-through with staff from RFA. Then it was show-time. They stood on stage and had spotlights trained on them while their medical ‘symptoms’ were described.
This is what Edward had to say after the assignment:

“Had a very good day. There were two groups standing on the stage, and an announcer was describing our symptoms. Our contact at RFA, who helped with the run- through, was also very helpful.”

It is important to remember modelling opportunities does not stop at 25; flexibility and reliability are essential; and there is a lot of benefit in doing a good job and impressing clients on assignment location – clients DO come back to re-book.
