Spring 2008
Welcome to our Modelling News section - Our free quarterly modelling newsletter - IMAGE - is packed with all the latest information, modelling advice, fashion tips, reader offers and more.

Spring is in the air and as we settle in to our eighteenth year, more of our film and advertising clients are asking to see our new models. We get requests daily from clients for women and child models and almost as many for men. And when you think about it, why wouldn't we?

Models Merwin and Rebecca were kept busy with a variety of outfits and activities on their photoshoots for specialist firm Action Storage Systems.

Flair magazine is fast becoming a regular client for Models Direct and just look at the wonderful results it gets from our models!

Budding models Jessica and Jimmy were stars for the day when they worked on a Babies 'R' Us photoshoot for Basement Photographic.

Hello! My name is Jemila and I am an assignment coordinator at Models Direct. I am responsible for organising assignments and making sure that our clients work with the most suitable models on each and every assignment.

Newcomer Delisha made her MD modelling debut on a brochure shoot for clothing company Famous Forever.

We always get great feedback from models when they've had the chance to meet others on assignments, and a recent photoshoot for Health Interactions Ltd is a prime example.

Assignments are not all about posing for photographers – many give our models an insight into various aspects of the fashion industry too, as was the case when Helena, Hayley and Sarah took part in a promotional sales pitch for Columbia Sportswear.

We came up with a winning team for the launch of a new Russell Athletic clothing range – MD's 'fab four' donned the latest leisure gear for a fitting, then showed it off to worldwide brand representatives and buyers.

There was plenty to smile about when we were asked to supply models for global oral care company Sunstar and a two-day photoshoot at upmarket spa Champneys, Tring.

Baby Kyla got her first booking the day she registered with Models Direct! At just 19 days old Kyla's first assignment was a shoot for the new Mama's & Papa's catalogue.

Posing for the camera requires a certain poise, but additional confidence is called for when you're asked to show off a new clothing selection to an audience. That's just what Vivienne and Marta had to do when they took up the offer of an assignment with Peppermint Grove.

Models Kevin and Talha really put on the style when they donned formal gear for a York Hire Wear photoshoot.

When the Rural Crafts Association introduced a fashion show feature at its fair, it couldn't have asked for a better model than MD's Suzanne.
I really enjoyed working at the show. So much fun. The people I was working for were lovely and very down to Earth, they really looked after me and made sure I was ok with everything I was doing.

Jordan had a great time he didn't even know he was working! A fun day. We had lots of information.

The two days at Champneys were great, the models all got on with each other really well. The photographer and clients were also really easy to work with.
