            Accessorise this
        summer!

A brilliant way to glam up or add style to any outfit is with accessories. A perfect way to show off your shape and personality and get noticed!

You can say a lot about yourself in your outfit as well as in the way you accessorise.

Think about what you want to portray for the occasion and reflect this in the colour, style and size of your accessories.

An outfit can be ruined by the wrong style, wrong size and wrong shape accessories - here are a few tips to watch out for when shopping to make sure you enhance your style and not wreck it completely!

Scarves
Wear scarves in proportion to your size . . . long necks can carry heavy knit long scarves where a short neck will be drowned by something too weighty.

If you are short in height, but want a long scarf - choose one with a fine knit as this wonít overpower you. This goes for men and women!

Double up neck scarves as head scarves or even try one as a belt with jeans. If you have a short neck, wrap the scarf around your neck as this will have an elongating effect.

Belts and Bags

Belts can be great to add a little something to an outfit and can really enhance your curves when worn in the right way. If you are small boned - small delicate buckles will flatter you best.

Bigger boned women can carry large chunky buckles but skinny belts will be completely lost.

If you have a long back, wear a belt lower on your hips - this will help to flatter your bum!

Tailor bags to your outfit - a floaty summer dress will look terrible with a large dark bag - this outfit would be greatly enhanced with a more neutral delicate shoulder bag.
Jewellery
It is important to recognise your bone structure as it is vital when choosing many accessories.

A general rule is that if you have a larger bone structure, you will look fabulous in large, solid jewellery whereas small bones are better off with more delicate pieces.

You will easily notice if your hands look better wearing large or small rings - again, bigger bones can carry chunky, bold pieces as it makes them appear more delicate and small boned fingers are much more flattered by intricate, more subtle pieces.

General notes to remember for all accessories is keep them in tune with the rest of your outfit.

Also, get them right for the season and time of day - diamonds at night will look fabulous but won’t do you any favours when worn to the office!

Check out fashion magazines for latest fashions but also keep an eye on the charity shops - there are always antique and unique pieces to be found at bargain prices!

And finally never over do it - less is always more!

Millennium Teen female model winner Alma Jackson- Davis. Alma also earned £300 on her last assignment and got a great response from the client
Hello, my name is Alma Jackson- Davis. I am 15 years old and I am from London. I love listing to music. I am very confident in myself. I am independent. I am
the sort of person who loves to do new and old things. I love travelling and studying new things especially other cultures when it comes to fashion, music, art, food. I am very funny, bubbly, optimistic. I love art. My favourite art category is surrealism and drawing. I have two most important goals in life that I am willing and ready to do anything to reach it and they are to be a super model because I believe I have what it takes. I enjoy taking photo shoots and doing the runway catwalk and help other young kids to be proud of who they are because I believe that every body is beautiful. The second thing is to be a great artist because art is very important to me. I am very determined to work at modelling, school and everything I do. Alma
