We thought that as we’re now into our 17th year and Image has more than 44,000 readers, it was time to change the format – the handy A5 size is a perfect fit for your pocket or bag… but just be ready for people sneaking a read over your shoulder!
Since we started Models Direct in 1990 technology and its place in our industry has changed a lot. There was no email then – agencies sent out black and white photocopies and we spent a lot of time photographing models and projecting slides of them onto a wall so they could select those they liked best.
It was a long, slow, steady climb to become Europe’s leading model agency, representing models and serving clients around the world. But having a vision and holding onto it is what makes people famous and businesses succeed.
As the UK’s only national agency, when we make an offer to represent a man, woman, or child model that means we will put them forward for work whenever their look is called for, anywhere in the UK. Local agencies only get local work and lots of areas have little or none in terms of fashion, film, TV, catalogue and exhibitions – all sectors which our Assignments Department has served for almost two decades. We’re always looking for new faces because we’re always being asked for them!
Behind our website – which gets a whopping 30,000 new visitors every month – is a team of dedicated professionals. Your Co-ordinator offers the continuity which is so important in this anonymous world of cyber-clicking, and is on hand to pick up the phone for a super-fast personal response. Our models can log in 24/7 to their account and check their career progress, while clients  can action a nationwide search to find exactly who they are looking for, at some of the cheapest rates available.
