A couple of months ago I joined Models Direct as a new member of the Assignments Department. The prospect of working within the frame-work of such an interesting industry was exciting, but I had no idea how valuable and relevant skills gained from my previous job would be in the agency work place.

For a number of years I trained intensively at a school established primarily for dance and progressed on to graduate as a professional Ballet Dancer. Most people are pleased to hear that I have indeed worn a tutu and pointe shoes, danced Swan Lake and owned many pairs of pink tights! My role in Models Direct is as an Assignments Co-ordinator and my performance will benefit from me applying the same concentration and motivation as I did whilst dancing. |

| I have already enjoyed the physical side of being a Co-ordinator in guiding some new Models through their paces on the course day Catwalk Training session in October. However, I now get to talk to the paying client and through the Assignments I am dealing with I can see that Modelling Opportunities come in many forms, offering you the chance to assume a role or image in front of the camera or on the Catwalk. I have overseen Models presenting fashion wear from top labels; promoting beautiful lingerie; featuring in a movie; becoming the face of a charitable |

| campaign; sitting for a professional hair stylist and being turned into a living work of art by a body painter. |

I am happy to have joined the group of people who work on behalf of nation-wide talent every day, each person brings unique talent and experience to their roles. I urge new Models to focus on the quality of their work, because I understand your enthusiasm and ambition and know it will make your Modelling Assignments really enjoyable.
