‘Tomy®’
the leading baby
products manufacturer asked us for two babies only a few months old to model
their front carriers and needed them to be under 14lbs in weight. The first
baby selected was little Cody, at barely 10 weeks old, he was perfect and
lived in the Leicestershire area where the shoot was taking place. Mum Kim
said following the assignment.“Cody enjoyed working for you immensely at the Tomy shoots in Leicester. Consequently they said they would be pleased to have him in the future and that he may be appearing on the packaging covers for both the Roma Carriers in the UK and France! It will feel weird walking round and seeing my child on a box!! Once again thanks for taking Cody on and we look forward to working with you again in the future!” |
Finding
our second baby model was more of a task: usually the first question we
ask models when they have been short-listed is if they are available for
the date of the assignment, but this time I was calling mums and asking
them how much their little babies weighed! Unfortunately most of the young
model’s had wonderful appetites and were far too heavy to fit the
carrier!
Then as luck had it, I called the mother of one of our baby models only
to be told that he weighed too much for the assignment, but her cousin had
applied to us for her baby Tamzin who was only 14 weeks old. The National
Selection Panel had just assessed Tamzin’s pictures, and an Offer
of Representation was waiting to go out to her. We called Louise (Tamzin’s
Mum) and she confirmed that Tamzin weighed only 12lbs and that she was able
to make the assignment the following day! |

Wycombe Wanderers Football Club were looking
to promote their new kit and required 5 attractive promotional girls between
the ages of 18 and 25. The assignment was for a full day, when the girls arrived they had to run through the show with the choreographer. They were each paired with one of the Footballers and had to wear the new kit while walking the catwalk, they completed two further performances for the show that evening. “We were there to promote the new seasons football kit, a fashion parade, mingling with the players, sponsors and fans and I actually "kicked off" the game. |
“Five
girls paired up with a footballer and took it in turns to walk alongside
their footballer and then both them and the footballer (in my case Tommy
Mooney) walked individually down the catwalk.” “We all had between 2-3 costume changes. The dancers performed 3 times at intervals throughout and we ended with everyone and dozens of children dancing to Rock DJ. “we had great fun doing two catwalk shows, modelling the new seasons kit and leisure wear for the Wycombe Wanderers. Ocean. |
