Smile please,
When parents get a call from the agency regarding an assignment for their baby the first question is normally "what if my child is not well on the day" Most babies usually start teething from 3-6 months onwards and with this comes with temperatures and runny noises. |
If this does happen to your baby when they are called for an assignment we will always have a stand by in place.
Below is a comment from one of our baby models mums who told us of her experience of her first assignment, where her baby was not feeling well that morning and she decided to go ahead with the assignment as she did not want her to miss out working with one of our big clients Mamas and Papas. The Assignment took place in Yorkshire where 3 of our baby models were chosen to model baby robes for the Mamas & Papas Catalogue.
" I was excited, yet apprehensive about my daughter's first assignment. It was a photo shoot for Mamas & Papas and she would be modelling a cuddle robe, but I'd never been to the area where the shoot was to take place and was afraid of getting lost or turning up late! We did get there early as it happens, but they were running a little late due to an earlier shoot. My daughter had been quite grumpy that morning and I was worried she would ruin things. Sure enough, there were quite a few tears as we walked into the crowded bathroom and handed her over to the 'mummy' model, but a soothing bottle of milk later and she was more like her normal self. After lots of behind the camera encouragement and funny faces from mummy, the shoot was over. I had a peek at some of the photos from the shoot and was very proud to see my baby looking back at me, as beautiful as ever. I can't wait for her next assignment and the chance to show her off again!"

pretty please...
Olivia's Mum was clearly a little bit worried about whether the assignment would go well, but it is always worth going along and seeing what happens if you feel your child is up to it. The photographers that we work with are very professional and usually work their magic so that the shoots are good and client gets the desired result.
A child’s first assignment is clearly very exciting, but babies' health comes first.
Hopefully your first assignment will go like Sofia's below and be successful. Sofia's mum has given her feed back:
"We arrived at the fantastic location ( in the middle of the moors! ) an hour early as it wasn't as difficult to find as I thought. We were shown into a sitting room and Sofia played. We were both made to feel very welcome and looked after. One of the team came in and looked through Sofia's clothes and chose an outfit for her to wear.
We were then taken upstairs into a bedroom that was decorated in nursery furniture. Sofia was then left to move around the room and play with various toys whilst the camera clicked away - she loved all the attention!
After 40 mins another little girl arrived and they had photos taken together - they were so cute! After 60mins we had finished for the day.
The next morning Sofia went straight up to the room for another 50mins of playing, being centre of attention and having her photo taken - she loved it all! The other little girl arrived and they had some more photos taken then we finished.
It was a great experience; we were made to feel very welcome and can't wait to do some more work."
