Winter Electric Hair

Chilly weather is on its way. Along with this blast of cool invigorating air on the outside of our living and working quarters comes dry indoor heat. Both of these happen to be two of the top enemies of luscious looking hair, right after the chemical damage hair colouring and perming can reek.
If your hair is your crowning glory, then why not give it the royal treatment?
Flyaway hair can be tamed with a simple touch of leave in conditioner. Certain types of fabric create static charges when rubbed against our tresses. Leave in conditioners neutralise static charges and zaps them before they even have time to make an appearance.
Since a variety of leave in conditioners are on the market today, you have a lot of choices. Consider selecting one with a fragrance that appeals to you and have the added bonus of an aromatic pick me up. Simply spray the product on clean hair and comb through with even strokes. Remember to towel dry your hair for the best results.

Winter 06/07 sees a return to dressing up. The look is clean and grown up with less ethnic, retro and multi layering influence.

Fabrics

Tweed appears as you've never seen it before, updated and over printed with overstitching and embroidery. Velvet is also in from rich coloured to high sheen velours
Knitwear has a country craft feel which mixes traditional and exaggerated stitching to make it look handmade. Metal fabrics are used for day as well as evening wear in a range of gold and silver

Colours

The colour forecast is to be prepared for more subdued, more murky and subtle fashion colour combinations.
Winter 2006/07 colour combinations of the latest fashion palette really are the colours of the rustling leaves of a New England Fall.
Good colours to invest in are all the earth tones, golden orchres, rusts, taupe, khaki, olive green, grey, red and purples.

Themes

Folklore and Eastern European uniforms collide to create a diverse look.
Think Babushka dolls and military frock coats.
Masculine Spirit is also in this winter, women dressing up as men in deconstructed tailoring with alluring peeping flesh.
Shrunken jackets, waistcoats, tuxedo jackets, and tailored pencil fit trousers.

Accessories

Accessories are very important this season.
Oversized bags can make you look good for winter.
Exotic leathers, metal detail, elbow length gloves, hats, wide belts and clutch bags can give you a sophisticated look.
Scarves and ribbon are also a big accessory this winter which provide a feminine touch and will be very popular.
