"I was excited, yet apprehensive about my daughter's first assignment. It was a photoshoot for Mamas & Papas and she would be modelling a cuddle robe, but I'd never been to the area where the shoot was to take place and was afraid of getting lost or turning up late! We did get there early as it happens, but they were running a little late due to an earlier shoot. My daughter had been quite grumpy that morning and I was worried she would ruin things. Sure enough, there were quite a few tears as we walked into the crowded bathroom and handed her over to the 'mummy' model, but a soothing bottle of milk later and she was more like her normal self. After lots of behind the camera encouragement and funny faces from mummy, the shoot was over. I had a peek at some of the photos from the shoot and was very proud to see my baby looking back at me, as beautiful as ever. I can't wait for her next assignment and the chance to show her off again!"

"We arrived at the fantastic location ( in the middle of the moors! ) an hour early as it wasn't as difficult to find as I thought. We were shown into a sitting room and Sofia played. We were both made to feel very welcome and looked after. One of the team came in and looked through Sofias clothes and chose an outfit for her to wear. We were then taken upstairs into a bedroom that was decorated in Mamas and Papas nursery furniture. Sofia was then left to move around the room and play with various toys whilst the camera clicked away - she loved all the attention! After 40 mins another little girl arrived and they had photos taken together - they were so cute! After 60mins we had finished for the day. The next morning Sofia went straight upto the room for another 50mins of playing, being centre of attention and having her photo taken - she loved it all! The other little girl arrived and they had some more photos taken then we finished. It was a great experience, we were made to feel very welcome and cant wait to do some more work."

"The shoot took place in Ipswich between 13:00 and 17:00 with photographer, Roger, and design director of Poulsen Selleck, Neil. Poulsen Selleck had been approached by the Puffa brand to relaunch their once popular Puffa Jackets. Although the jackets are currently selling well in Japan and Italy, Puffa had encountered difficulty from buyers of the major high street shops in England. With the help of Poulsen Selleck, they created a fictional Japanese character who is head over heels mad for Puffa Jackets. This character creates scrapbook of his obsession with Puffa Jackets, depicting how great they are, and sends them out to the prospective buyers, encouraging them to sell Puffa Jackets in England.

My role was to play the OTT Japanese character wearing a variety of Puffa Jackets in a variety of poses, some that would be superimposed over existing shots of busy Japanese streets and stores stocked full of Puffa Jackets.

This being my first shoot with Models Direct, I was initially apprehensive as I had no idea what was expected of me. However, Neil and Roger had a very clear idea of what they wanted, and I quickly loosened up. We started shooting outside while the sun created the light right for the shots to be superimposed. They wanted a very eccentric character, and there was a lot of jumping around and pulling of overexcited faces as I pretended to roam the streets of Japan shopping for Puffa Jackets. I found it easy to play up to the mad Japanese culture drawing upon hours watching Banzai and Takeshi's Castle, and Neil and Roger were definitely pleased with the mood they were capturing.

We then moved into the studio were a couch laden with Puffa Jackets was arranged to represent the end of my long shop. This was greatly enjoyable as I had to be quite diverse and show different sides of the character - serene and surrounded by Puffa Jackets, deeply pleased with my huge collection, in awe/disbelieve of after my long shop, etc. Neil and Roger were able to capture a range of angles and distances, and again, they seemed very pleased with the results.

The couch setup was then cleared and I was asked to wear each of the jackets in turn using a different pose, so as Neil could collate them into a montage. The jackets came in a range of colours and sizes, but I had brought along a good range of my own clothes and accessories so Neil could get variety he needed. Again, I was asked to try and show different aspects of the characters personality - attitude, surprise, ecstasy, cool and joy to name a few. Under direction I felt quite easy to slip in and out of emotions, although some poses did take a few shots to get the right feel. We covered a great many angles and poses, sitting, standing and running around, and Neil and Roger showed great enthusiasm when we managed to capture the exact idea they had envisaged.

Overall the shoot was extremely enjoyable. I bonded well with Neil and Roger which helped get the job done, and although I can't speak on their behalf, I went away feeling happy that they were pleased with the results. This is definitely something I would do again, and in future shoots it would be nice to use this experience of acting and explore the range of characters I can portray."

"I arrived at the AMC Cinema at 8:40am and waited for the photographer who arrived at 9:10am. Few minutes later the winner and her family arrived and we introduced ourselves. I got changed into the Superman outfit, and by 9:30am we were ready to shoot. The photographer selected the best positions that show both the cheque with the winner's name and npower on it, and the AMC logo. He then took different shots and the whole thing was over by 10:15am. Was a nice assignment and I enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you."

"Holly had a lovely afternoon at her assignment with Jems. The job consisted of a photo shoot for photos to be used on the client’s new website and perhaps in the future for a brochure. Jems is a company which produces hand made Scottish clothes predominantly in tartans and tweeds, much of which would be worn as wedding attire. The client required very little in the way of poses, smiles and activity during the shoot, so I feel that it was a good starting point for Holly to gain some experience in front of the camera and build her confidence. I felt that the client was pleased with the results of the shoot and with Holly’s performance, she was particularly pleased with her complexion as it carried the bright tartan off well. Overall we had an enjoyable afternoon and learnt lots!"
