Sometimes, you have to look at the positives when things don’t seem as rosy as they should. That’s exactly what two of our junior models did recently, after they were booked for a photo shoot in Norwich.
Siblings Beau and Lennox faced the Covid crisis head-on when medical company Intelligent Fingerprinting asked them to portray two youngsters using the firm’s saliva-based Covid test…which means no more sticking cotton wool swabs into nasal cavities!
Though our intrepid duo didn’t need lab coats, what they did require was a genuine sense of adventure, keen parental guidance, and a little bit of know-how from our booking team. After those boxes were ticked, we were confident it’d be plain sailing from then on, and so it proved.
Intelligent Fingerprinting is based in Cambridge, and they’re a leading provider of cost-effective diagnostic solutions, including drug reading cartridges, alcohol breath testers, and the aforementioned Saliva Covid Tests. The company’s name is derived from their portable Drug Screening System that works by analysing fingerprint sweat.
A relatively new company (they were formed in 2007), we were particularly excited to be recommending models to help them promote a safer, less intrusive method to testing Covid levels in children – no sweat, you might say! The more gentle saliva method makes testing easier for all ages, and is designed to support Covid testing in schools, care homes, workplaces and universities. Well, if it’s more effective and less of a hassle, it can only be a step in the right direction, yes?
The simple test also reduces plastic waste, and can detect the SARS-CoV-2 antigen – including the Omicron variant. In 20 minutes, the results of the test are available. Bingo!
Posing to test a product such as a Covid check procedure is pretty innovative, and it’s a sign of the times…maybe there’ll be more contemporary health-based assignments available for our illustrious models, from junior models to our more mature ones. Watch this space!
Lennox and Beau’s parents were thrilled that their son-and-daughter modelling combo were so proactive yet so comfortable on day’s shoot. They said:

We love putting forward our junior models for every assignment, from filming for hospitality brands to photo shoots for clothing products. But, every now and again, a booking comes along that’ll sure to live long in the memory. Beau and Lennox’s photo shoot for Intelligent Fingerprinting is certainly one of them, and we anticipate with baited breath another like it (let’s hope we’re not required to use their alcohol breath testers!)
