The major UK supermarket chain, Morrisons, is consistently coming up with clever ideas on how to help keep costs down for customers.
They’re one of our most frequent clients where our modelling agency, Models Direct, has connected child models, adult models, family models and even pet models for their latest marketing campaigns.


We’ve helped them hire models for many successful projects including seasonal work, in-store initiatives and brand collaborations. These have included projects for Valentine’s Day, Halloween, Morrisons nationwide café kids deal, and partnerships with brands such as Warburton’s, Birds Eye and Just Eat.
This time, they came to us looking to book a child model who could enjoy an in-store kiddie ride for their latest festive campaign.


And this is where child model Natalie (TFYP-3674) stepped in. She was selected to star at a Morrisons location beside a kiddie ride because the supermarket chain had created a slash-price seasonal initiative on all in-store kiddie rides which parents and guardians would love too. We’re talking £1.50 a ride to just 10p until the 30th of December!!! We know – even we were thinking we couldn’t wait to visit our nearest Morrisons!


Natalie was selected by the marketing team with her authentic portfolio. She didn’t have a professional headshot which most parents and guardians would think would be a necessary part of the application process. On the contrary, for Natalie’s application, a school photo was used instead and this caught our client’s eye.

Morrisons’ incredible Christmas campaign was running across 417 stores with a variety of 50-odd character-based rides such as Iggle Piggle and Bob the Builder. The aim was to bring joy to young customers, especially with what might have been a boring day out at the supermarket with parents or guardians.


However, Morrisons is always a step ahead when it comes to understanding consumers’ behaviour and knowing what will catch their eye they also had another Christmas initiative running in conjunction with the kiddie rides – their festive menu was a winner to be enjoyed at all cafes nationwide for those looking to save and budget their spending.


We’re talking adult Christmas Turkey dinners with all the trimmings for only £8.50 and Kids ‘Brussels sprouts-free’ Turkey Christmas Dinners at just £3.95. Their under 16s free kids meal with select adult meals offer continues to run nationwide all day every day making Morrisons a go-to for everyone looking to save not just around Christmas but throughout the year.
