Four of our mature models got together recently for a fantastic modelling assignment in the heart of Surrey.
Though the assignment was at Nonsuch Abbeyfield Retirement Village, work was very much the priority for Valerie, Les, Olufemi and Audrey.
Set both inside and in the grounds of Abbeyfield at Ewell West (in-between Epsom and Wimbledon), our modelling quartet were asked to pose for stills and were also captured on video for the group’s website and social media channels. Has there been a more apt commercial modelling assignment for mature models? It’ll have stiff competition from the countless jobs we’ve procured for other models, but it must rank highly!
The whole campaign took place over two days, with each pair of models working on different days. As Abbeyfield is a registered charity that provides shelter and care homes for the elderly, it was a special modelling moment and proved as enjoyable as it was worthwhile.
Les was paired with Valerie, and he couldn’t wait to tell us about this – his first – modelling job. “Being my first assignment of this kind, I had no idea as to what to expect, so I just tried to do as I was asked. I was really happy the client seemed pleased as they are the ones who count. I thought it was really interesting to see how the shoot was set up, and how it developed during the day, with various scenes and settings. All the shoot guys and the make-up lady were really easy to work with, helpful and didn’t seem worried I was fairly inexperienced either. The other model, Valerie, was great to work with and helped a newbie settle in the job. She was easy to talk to, and interesting to chat with in-between the scenes. I’d be very happy if any more shoots come up. Thanks again!”
Seems like Les has a new friend in Valerie! Speaking of which, her feedback revealed the diversity in the shoot, as well as the expertise of modelling professionals necessary to make modelling campaigns run like clockwork. She said, “It was another really lovely assignment with Models Direct, courtesy of my agent Charlie, who is just a joy to work with. The day flowed smoothly, and quite a bit of the shoot took place outside and thankfully the weather was warm and sunny. The residents were so lovely, warm and welcoming, as were the staff, art director Chris, photographer James, photography assistant, and makeup artist Verity – and my other model Les. I truly enjoyed the whole experience (we shot various scenes, including playing pool)! I look forward to my next venture with Models Direct. Thank you!”
Ah yes, a pool table is just one of the attractions at Nonsuch Abbeyfield, which made our model’s experience that more dynamic. The venue also features a fitness suite, cinema room and Quiet Room, which could have proven handy for our models if they needed a brief time to reflect on their experiences.
This was a perfect assignment to stress how important our mature models are. Abbeyfield could rely on us to put forward the right models so their advertising campaign could be as effective as possible.
There’s no limit to what mature models can achieve. If you’re over 55 years of age and haven’t yet delved into the wonderful world of commercial modelling, why not follow in our models footsteps and get in touch with our friendly team?
You have absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain!
