Commercial modelling is fun, lucrative and sometimes for a very worthwhile cause

Published: 2nd Nov 2021

There is so much more to commercial modelling that many people realise.

As well as being a great way to earn money and an enjoyable pastime, it can also be the beginning of an exciting new career and sometimes also extremely important in itself.

Over the many years Models Direct has been working with major clients across the UK and beyond, it has had bookings from numerous charities and organisations with vital roles to play.

These types of clients are often in need of male and female models to appear in promotional marketing, campaigns and general advertising to deliver an important message to the general public, support the essential work they do and their fundraising drives.

One such assignment was for Centrepoint, a London-based charity that provides homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills to help get them back into education.

Our models Brooklyn, Shayo, Bradley, Annie and Michaela took part in the photoshoot and found the work to be extremely fulfilling, as well as fun.

It also gave them the chance to achieve some extra income, make new friends and gain valuable modelling experience.

Shayo explains how it went: “I recently had a shoot for a charity that helps teens and young people have a new start. It was an amazing experience, and the crew were so lovely,” she said.

Bradley agreed: “This was my second photoshoot and it was amazing – the people were amazing and made it so much fun. We had to pretend to cook, study, try clothes on and act like we were talking about our health etc, which was something I’d never done before. The shoot itself was great, with a lot of laughs and chats, so there was never a dull moment. Thanks again to Charlie for getting me the photoshoot.”

For Michaela, it was a new experience: “This was my first photoshoot and never have I been more grateful to have been given the chance to be part of something like this. I met these amazing models that were such fun to be with; the shoot was amazing, the team behind the photoshoot were accommodating and had such positive auras. This was a great experience, and I cannot wait to work with Models Direct again.”

And Annie agreed: “It was an amazing experience. The photographer was brilliant, and the people were lovely. I really enjoyed myself and being with the other models.”
