Crystal Palace Football Club, nicknamed “The Eagles”, are flying high in the Premier League this season. What better time to market their latest range of adult fashion through their website and social media channels?
Football fans love to show their support through various forms: on the terraces, on social media, in pubs, tattoos and in home / away kit. The art of showcasing latest fashions to fans and the public is to ask real people to pose, therefore showing what everyday people will look like. There are no catwalks in commercial modelling, as readers should know by now. Commercial modelling is not high-end fashion modelling; it’s appealing to everyday people who might be interested in the products or services that benefit them. This modelling assignment was a gem of a job to highlight just that.
The famous south London club was the venue for a quartet of our models. We’ve always stated that there are plenty of opportunities for our models in all parts of the UK and nationwide, and that’s been the case ever since we started our agency. But some modelling jobs dictate that they occur at the client’s HQ, and in this case Crystal Palace’s Selhurst Park was the obvious choice.
They were photographed striking poses decked out in Crystal Palace’s latest fashion for adults. When they arrived at Selhurst Park, anticipation must have been like the fan’s excitement prior to kick-off. It wasn’t as straightforward as donning a few shirts and being photographed. There were several takes, and our models had to have the charisma and confidence to pull off working with a professional photographer. Of course, it helps if models are sure of themselves when posing in front of a camera, but models should know what’s involved on set; sometimes there are specific requests from clients / photographers, as well as waiting time to be considered.
This assignment for a high profile client was exactly what some of our first-time models dreamed of – and for our experienced model Tirtha, their third job.
Tirtha said, “This is my third shoot with Models Direct, and as usual the experience was amazing! I shot for Crystal Palace FC for their accessories and enjoyed the entire process. Gemma coordinated well throughout! Kudos to Models Direct! They have helped me pursue my passion and I am looking forward to more assignments with them.”
“I had my first photoshoot at Crystal Palace,” said Reece, “I was nervous as I was first going in, but the camera crew and the atmosphere allowed me to ease in within the first ten minutes. It ended up being a really good shoot.”
Billie was ecstatic: “I had my first shoot with Models Direct and what a great experience it was! Gemma briefed me and gave me all the necessary information, so I was fully confident and prepared. The shoot was very well organised and lots of fun. It went very smoothly – thank you Models Direct for this opportunity.”
