Earlier in the year, our lovely models Tapuwa and Anna embarked on a sensational promotional assignment that would have footie fans spitting out their half-time pies in envy.
We were approached by elite events company Events 105 to provide them with a couple of engaging and sociable models to help with a Q&A speaking event at Fratton Park – home of Portsmouth FC. The guest star was Robert Prosinecki, the Croatian ex-professional footballer and manager.
Having played for many famous teams, most notably Real Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla and Portsmouth, it was fitting that he returned to Pompey to share his experiences both on and off the field in front of a football-crazy crowd.
This was the definition of a promotional modelling job, in that our model’s personalities were far more important than their looks. Anna and Tapuwa were asked to interact with the fervent masses, selling raffle tickets and helping with the subsequent auction. Strangers react favourably with fun and engaging hosts, so it was a perfect gig for our duo, who were quick to praise the organisation that made it a rip-roaring success.
Anna said, “It was a great experience, and Gemma at Models Direct made sure I was looked after and that I knew all the details.” Looks like another thumbs-up for you, Gemma!
It was a relaxed Saturday evening at a top sports venue, which is some model’s idea of Dream Land. Indeed, Tapuwa certainly had a brilliant experience and was thankful to be put forward. She echoed Anna’s appraisal. “This was my second job with Models Direct in three weeks! It was a different kind of job and event but exciting nonetheless. I’m grateful for the opportunity and I look forward to more!”
Two modelling jobs in three weeks! This is not unusual, and proves that once the ball starts rolling it can quickly escalate into multiple bookings for the right model. Of course, it isn’t dumb luck that models achieve more bookings than others. Studying our jobs board and regularly adding current photos to your ePortfolio is paramount to being recommended to our clients, who make the final decision. There’s no value in sitting back waiting for job offers to come in if you haven’t done anything to improve your chances. And this also applies to your gorgeous pets, so keep updating effective photos of them, too!
