Throughout February and half of March, the Men’s Six Nation’s rugby tournament attracted millions of viewers as the top six European rugby nations battled it out for the coveted trophy. France finished as victors by one point, sneaking ahead of England.

The rugby fan base didn’t have to wait for long for their next fix, as the Women’s Six Nations kicked off a week later in late March. Women’s rugby enjoys a big following, and this year’s competition received the kind of viewing figures to prove the women’s game is in fine shape. Advertising any large sporting event is vital to exceed viewing numbers year-on-year, and our loyal client Greene King knows exactly how to market sports events shown at their 3,000 or so UK locations.

Their first step may have been to organise the right marketing professionals to come up with a plan. Greene King insist on the best marketing for their UK pubs, meaning that their second step was likely to contact us for the best group of commercial models for a series of promotional shoots. As the Six Nations is sponsored by Guinness, our 31-strong group of models were proud to work for both one of the UK’s favourite hospitality chains and one of the country’s top beer producers.

For most part of 2025, Greene King customers could collect points via an app every time they checked in during a Six Nation’s match, which could be used to redeem prizes.   

This was a wonderful campaign that showcased the very best of commercial modelling. Any large set of commercial models coming together on set to produce the perfect campaign is always a positive experience, and it helps when the models get on so well. Working with two established companies can only benefit models in the long term, and our model’s feedback reflected exactly that.

“It was professionalism at its finest,” said Kadeem. “It was nice to be back on a set and working alongside other professionals. The shoot went smoothly, and we were all looked after. As there was a lot of equipment and setting up to be done, there was some down-time; however, production made sure we were aware what was going on and thanked us for our patience. Everyone was lovely and it is always great to network with other models and hear about their experiences. Production was clear on what shots they were looking for and gave excellent direction for what was needed. All in all, it was a great day, and I’m glad I got to be a part of it.”

For debut model Nicola, the evaluation was also outstanding. “I attended my first assignment for Models Direct with Greene King as an extra. I had lots of support and encouragement from Models Direct. I over- thought my wardrobe but did take other outfits, so was able to read the vibe of the room and change accordingly.

“I really enjoyed the experience in seeing how a video production works and chatting to other models. After much waiting I finally played a background scene standing and chatting; it was great fun coming up with conversation topics.

“Overall, I very much enjoyed the day and a big thanks to all at Models Direct, the production team, staff at Greene King and of course all the other models that I worked with that made me feel welcome.”
