Gtech: The Lowdown on Our Star Pet Model

Published: 20th Mar 2022

Models Direct have worked with prestigious brands, masters of their industry and pioneers who are changing the world as we know it. Gtech is one of those remarkable brands that are doing just this. With their innovative home and lifestyle products and of course, their world’s first cordless power sweeper, we were thrilled when they approached our team requesting a pet model!

Gtech knew what they wanted for their floorcare campaign – a calm and compliant dog (for the camera), and a real asset for a family home setting. Bella was the selected dog for the job and she did brilliantly. She was amazing on set, cooperated and worked really well around the new environment, new faces and of course, lights, cameras and noise – our star pet was relaxed and you can see her nature through the images that were taken for the project. Bella was captured sitting beside Gtech’s cordless hoover to promote their new product and she made it look so easy! The Worcester company was very satisfied with the work that not only did they call for her once but twice to feature in their work!

Models Direct’s star pets are real stars

Our star pets, as our modelling agency professionally (and lovingly) calls them, are a big division that we focus on. We know that companies utilise their presence for marketing campaigns to increase their brand awareness for leads and sales which is why we encourage pet owners to get in touch with us and consider pet modelling.

Pet models work very well when enticing consumers to services as they bring their element of fun, spirit and product association. Photographers or videographers may encourage animal models to sit, stand, run, play a trick if they have extra skills, wait till they drop off to sleep or maybe everything all rolled into one. It really depends on what needs to be achieved for the cameras.

We caught up with Bella’s owner after the assignment to gain insight into how the day went for her star pet. She explains:

“The whole day went really really well for both me and Bella. I wasn’t sure how she would get on with the whole thing, but it was made extremely easy and fun with the team there. Everyone was extremely nice and very patient with her, so she had a great time. Off set the team were throwing her ball for her and cuddling her constantly, so she felt happy the entire day and I expect didn’t want the day to end. At the end of the day, they gave me and Bella their feedback, which turned out very positive and reassured me that I should continue to do this with her.”

She also adds how the next occasion went with the Worchester company:

“It was another really successful day. The Gtech team seemed really happy with Bella again. They told me that we wouldn’t be finished until 6:30 but managed to get finished at 4:30 due to all the scenes going so well. I was also told that they have some more shoots coming up that they’d want to use her for again. Everyone was lovely and Bella was used much much more than last time, as she was the main model in every scene, also having her own scenes. We also tried new things and experimented with her and I felt she did really well, so we look forward to the next one!”

Overall, this was a successful project our modelling agency and the innovative company collaborated on.
