Little delights of the world are the cutest and sweetest of all – bonny babies who are giggly, small people are bringing joy to life. If you have a bambino, you think would be a great baby model, then you’re at the right place because Models Direct will direct you on how to get your baby started in modelling.
First up, we know that this might have been playing on your mind, but don’t stress. Neither you nor your little one needs to have had prior modelling experience when it comes to working with us – sigh of relief, parents and guardians.
Start snapping
You can begin to take pictures of your little one, in and around your place of residence, and in the great outdoors. Your smartphone will suffice for this, so no need to worry about purchasing an expensive camera or hiring a professional photographer. You can do it yourself, literally, and save money.
These images can later become part of your baby’s all-important ePortfolio with Models Direct, which clients will see should they be interested in hiring your little cherub.
Apply online
You’ll need to apply using our online application form, which is accessible 24/7 on our website. Using the drop-down menu, ensure that you’ve selected who you’re applying for, in which case it’s “My Child (0-12).” Then you’ll have to fill in your details, including your baby’s name, date of birth, and gender. You’ll also have to include your name and contact details along with your baby’s most recent headshot. Agree that you’re applying on behalf of your child and the terms and conditions, and then click on the “send application” button.
Get a modelling bag ready
After registering with us, we call you and walk through what we can do for your baby’s profile. We cannot guarantee that we will secure them modelling gigs, but what we do know is that our team will work their hardest to help increase their chances by putting them forward whenever a client enquires for a baby model.
Some of our models have secured an assignment just a couple of weeks after registering with us. As we know how busy you already are with your little one and possibly with older siblings, too, we would highly recommend getting a modeling bag ready.
Alongside your baby’s usual must-have items such as nappies, baby wipes, comfort blanket/toys, and baby food, do remember to pack:
Your charger (an obvious one but something we can tend to forget as we just focus on baby and leave out what *we* need too)
A power bank (if you have one)
Food and drink for yourself (you’ll usually be offered refreshments, and if it’s a long day, then food too so pack some snacks for your travel and photoshoot breaks!)
Extra cash (always handy to have some in your bag in case you need it)
If you’re using contactless, try and pack your physical card too (just to cover all bases)
A modelling bag on standby is a game changer, as we know all parents are busy, and sometimes our opportunities come forward quicker than expected!
