It’s a serious cuteness overload here at our Models Direct central office in Norwich when we receive baby and child model applications. It’s an instant mood boost for our team when we see these precious little people exude so much personality ready to be booked for the next modelling campaign.

If you’re a parent to a baby or child under the age of 12, or you know someone too cute for words then you’re at the right place because your little star can become a Models Direct model.

Here’s our mini guide on how to kick start this journey for them, and for you to share with them!

Speak to our specialist team

First up, our team is made of real humans, not a one-man band promising all the services to get your baby or child connected to modelling assignments or a bot replacing a human. Our team has been doing our thing for over thirty years now, and we’re good at it. Check out our client list to see who we’ve worked with and had our models enjoy the modelling world.

Speak to us, share your interest or any questions you may have before considering applying to us. We’d love to hear from you.

Check out our website and our socials

To really know what we’re about, we’d recommend that you read through our website and follow us on our socials. We’re all on all the major platforms – Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Twitter. We also have weekly blogs posted for support, advice, ideas and our latest collaborations.

Send across an online application

Models Direct has made the registration process for new baby and child models really easy. It’s all digital so you can even send it across via your smartphone for more convenience. It’s here, and all you have to do is fill in the deets and send across the latest image of your cute tiny person.

Looking to hire models?

One of our specialist coordinators will personally call you after we’ve reviewed your application. We’ll walk you through the next steps where we request that you build an ePortfolio (if you already don’t have a portfolio elsewhere) and how we will put your baby’s or child’s, or both, profile forward whenever a client calls for their look.

Build up an ePortfolio

Assemble a collection of handcrafted images of your baby or child. You don’t need a professional photographer by the way. You can simply use your smartphone to capture clear pics of your mini-me. Keep your images fresh and current to the season with regular top-ups as your little one will have lots of growth spurts, and we mean a lot! A few snaps every month is a good way to kick it off!

Research other baby and child models

Look at what other models are getting up to. Are they signed up with an agency or going solo? Where are they finding modelling work and with who? Which projects have they worked on? Understanding what your competitors are doing and where they are tapping their skills is a good way of broadening your overall industry knowledge and horizons. It might even give you a few ideas of where you see your baby model or child model going.

Please wait for our response

If a client likes your baby’s or child’s look, we will be in touch to let you know. Make sure your contact details are always up to date and that you’re accessible as you wouldn’t want to accidentally miss the opportunity!

Remember, cuteness and laughter are sure to make our day as well as our prestigious clients. If you have a baby or child and you’re interested in them becoming a model, let MD know and we’ll be happy to have them onboard connecting with a variety of diverse campaigns!
