Every day is a school day with something new and exciting to learn – and for a group of our teen models, it was that technology can be super fun.

Models Direct was asked to suggest a group of young male and female models to take part in a photo shoot at the University of Wolverhampton.

The aim was to help promote Scanning Pens, ground-breaking assistive reading devices that can literally turn the words on the page into sounds in your ear…

And, of course, we were only too eager to help.

We browsed the e-portfolios of our teen models and came up with a scintillating selection for the client to choose from.

Among those chosen were Elijah, Mary Jane, Lily and Callum.

Our youngsters jumped at the chance to be involved and headed off ready to try out the new gadgets.

Aimed at those who might require additional support with reading, perhaps because they are neurodivergent, the devices can scan text line by line, digitalising they move.

The digital text is then read out aloud by text-to-speech software

So how did our teen models find their day out?

Elijah’s parent told us:

“Elijah had a fantastic experience on his first shoot.

“The team was so friendly and helpful.

Looking to hire models?

“They explained what each part of the process would involve, to help reduce any nerves.

“This made the whole experience for both model and chaperone an enjoyable one.

“Thank you!”

And the feedback for Mary Jane was also very positive:

“Models Direct was really kind when speaking to me and was always fast to answer any questions I had.

“My daughter enjoyed the shoot.”

Callum himself told us:

“It was so good.

“It was really different and fun to get to know everyone else that was modelling too.

“I liked how we had to use the pens and understand what they do.

“They were really high-tech and easy to use.

“Personally, I feel like the product will be easy for the children or adults that may need help with reading books to use.”

And Lily added:

“I had a fantastic time on my first shoot for Models Direct.

“The client and the other models were all really friendly and made the time fly on the shoot.

“I can’t wait to see the campaign photos and videos.

“It was an amazing experience.

“Thank you.”
