The world’s first website was launched in 1991, and since then websites have been the first port of call for anyone wanting to know more on just about any product on the market. Websites are an invaluable tool for millions of brands, either for direct purchases or simply for customers to browse. Where would top brands be without them? Well, brands would still exist, but their appeal and profits would undoubtedly fall. No wonder a good website is a priority for companies all around the world.
We were approached recently by Soak&Sleep to help them with their new web launch. The company was set up in 2008, and they’ve grown into a leading retailer for online bedding and bath linen. A clear, well organised website with quality photos is a basic “must have” for any online brand, and commercial models are just as essential so potential customers can see accurately how a product benefits them before they make that all-important purchase.
Soak&Sleep provide some of the very best products guaranteed to aid sleep, so this was an assignment that our three models could relate to. A sound night’s sleep is critical for models to perform at their peak, so this was a job that suited our trio to a tee. Click below for Model Direct’s tips for counting sheep and catching those Zs:
Even before the assignment kicked off, our models were “rest assured” that everything was taken care of. Organisation is a massive factor in the smooth running of every modelling assignment, and our superstar Charlie did what she does best. Model Stephanie said, “Charlie was so organised and gave me full details and information about the shoot. She answered all my questions and was really encouraging and a pleasure to speak to.”
So, once our models had a good night’s sleep, it was time for the photo shoot to give Soak&Sleep’s website extra impact. Adding commercial models in high definition photos not only makes a website more professional; it adds a personal touch for customers and can sway their online buying decisions. We love working with young, ambitious clients, so Soak&Sleep’s success was especially pleasing to hear about once our models gave their feedback.
Stephanie continued, “I had such a fantastic day on location shooting for a gorgeous luxury brand. The team were so lovely, very welcoming and created a relaxed and fun atmosphere. I loved the work and the people – and the location was stunning!”
It certainly sounded a lavish experience! Our second chosen model, Nivi, is no stranger to commercial modelling, as she had been picked by supermarket Morrisons before her shoot with Soak&Sleep. She commented, “I had such a brilliant time at my recent shoot for a luxury brand. The location of the shoot was absolutely stunning! Charlie was incredible throughout this whole experience – she provided me with all the necessary details prior to the shoot and kept me updated and answered all of my questions in good time. She is always so positive and supportive! The team over the two days was just incredible and made me feel right at home! From the moment I arrived I was looked after so well and the makeup artist Joyce was super-talented and made me feel beautiful! I had a lot of fun on this shoot and met some really lovely people too!”
If there’s a better job than working with fab people in a gorgeous setting with a professional photographer and makeup artist, please by all means let us know, because we’re struggling to think of one!
Kristina completed the hat-trick of positive feedback by saying, “It was a great assignment today with top professionals. The other model was a delight to get to know and the job itself was so lovely from start to finish. I can’t wait to see the results as the photographer showed a little glimpse of it and the results looked great.”
