Let’s kick this off with by answering a question we’re sure many male commercial models have asked themselves: “Is there work for male models? I thought females and children are more in demand.”

Not only are there many modelling jobs for male models of all ages, but there are also more than you might think.

At the time of writing (mid-summer), we had a huge selection of available openings. Amongst them included:

  • Male Models required for a Luxury Footwear Brand Shoot (25 – 45 years)
  • Male Models required for an upcoming Charity Family Photoshoot (45 – 55 years)
  • Male Models required for a Promotional Shoot (25 – 60 years)
  • Male Models required for an upcoming Hotel Chain Shoot (25 – 60 years)
  • Male Models required for an upcoming Stills Photo Shoot (25 – 35 years)
  • Male Models required for a Fashion Brand Shoot (25 – 35 years)

And that’s just a small selection for our registered male models. So, we think we’ve answered that question with aplomb!

Looking to hire models?

Male models have been in big demand for years. Because commercial modelling differs greatly from “high end” modelling, it appeals to anyone with the determination to succeed. And that means any one from any background and most ages can be chosen by the thousands of brands we work with.

We’re in the golden age of commercial models, and male models certainly don’t miss out.

To break into the industry and appear in a brand’s advertising campaigns, all models must bear the following in mind:

  • Any model can try their luck by approaching a company with their photos. It’s not particularly effective though. We’re not a photo agency and never have been, so we don’t charge for photos, nor do we keep photos for show. All registered models have their own portfolios, and brands come to us directly looking for the best-suited talent. That’s why joining a reputable employment agency remains the best chance for people with modelling aspirations.
  • Which brings us to the best pathway to commercial modelling success. And that’s to register with us. For a small fee, you’ll be recommended to thousands of clients whenever your look is called for. From there, it’s up to the clients to pick the ones they’d like to be involved.
  • Keep your Models Direct ePortfolio up to date every couple of months with fresh photos and reels. Clients need to know what models look like in real time, not what they looked like a year ago.
  • Keep abreast of modelling news.
  • Keep the faith, and don’t give up. Male models are always popular in a wide range of shoots and films.
