Creatures all great and small are frequently required to taking on starring pet roles in photography and film shoots for advertising campaigns and other promotions.

As such, we are interested in all manner of beautiful beasts, from colourful cockatoos with vibrant plumages to gorgeous guinea pigs with friendly personalities.

We would love to hear from those with fabulous fishes or exciting pet reptiles too – anything from lovely leopard geckos to magnificent milk snakes.

We even sometimes have assignments on offer for iguanas, tortoises and turtles.

Then at the other end of the scale, there is sometimes a requirement for a larger family pet – one that requires a little more care in transportation but is completely adorable.

Perhaps you have a particularly handsome horse, for example, or a delightful donkey that likes nothing better than lots of attention?

From four-legged furry friends to unique and unusual reptiles and birds, we would love to hear from you if you think your pet could be perfect on camera.

At Models Direct, clients approach us with all sorts of requests for animals for their extremely wide variety of projects.

Sometimes they ask for a specific size and breed of one pet type, while at other times they are more general, suggesting they would like to see all our birds, reptiles, fish, small mammals etc to make their selection.

All we need from you is to know that your pet responds well when surrounded by people, lights and cameras and that he or she has an even and friendly temperament.

If there is anything especially unusual, unique or beautiful about your pet, then draw our attention to that too.

Send us some great photographs of your furry, feathered or scaly friend, ensuring they are well lit and set against a plain background – and don’t forget to showcase his or her best features too.

Finally, we obviously need to know that you will be on board with supporting your pet’s new modelling career!

If you accept an assignment from us then we will tell you what your pet will be required to do, where you will both need to be and when you will need to be there.

If you are happy with this, and think the work will suit your creature companion, then you could both discover just how much fun the world of pet modelling can be.
