They are an incredibly varied, diverse selection of men and women – and they are the very beating heart of our fabulous NHS.
Not one person among us does not value the unbelievably important work carried out by the nurses at British hospitals, health centres and GP practices.
So when Models Direct was approached to supply a group of male and female models to pose as these essential members of our community, we were – of course – only too happy to help!
It was, in fact, professional body the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) that required a spectrum of our models.
The idea was for our group to take part in a campaign photo shoot focusing on nursing pay and value.
Most of them were required to play the parts of nurses, but others stepped in as patients or other medical staff.
Having been at the heart of the modelling industry for over 35 years now, Models Direct has often teamed up with the NHS, its service providers and other healthcare organisations to help find just the right models.
As usual, we browsed our e-portfolios and provided the client with a shortlist of suitable people.
And, on this occasion, Stella, Anthony, Tom, Joshua, Madhu, Jessica, Catriona and Jenny were chosen by the client.
So how did they find the modelling assignment? Was it a healthy experience?
Well, Jenny told us: “I had a great experience at my first shoot with Models Direct.
“The instructions were clear and I felt well looked after. Everyone on set was super friendly, and it was nice getting to know other models coming from all walks of life.
“Overall, it was a great experience and I am looking forward to any other potential opportunities with them in the future.”
For Tim, it was also a case of dipping his toe into the world of modelling. He said:
“I had a great time at my first shoot for the NHS at West London Studios.
“I’m a newcomer to modelling and registered with Models Direct with no expectations.
“I was blown away to get my first gig, which was fun and friendly.”
And Josh agreed:
The crew was lovely and friendly, my fellow models were all great and I enjoyed working with them.
“Prior to the shoot day, the communication was really good and I was given lots of information with details and what to expect.”
Madhu was another newby and was eager to say:
“It was a wonderful experience and the details provided were clear and accurate, ensuring that I knew exactly what to expect.
“It was nice meeting and chatting with my fellow models and Gemma, the model manager.
“Overall it was a great experience, I look forward to working with Models Direct more in the future and will recommend the agency to others as well.”
Catriona was also very positive about both the assignment and Models Direct in her feedback.
“Gemma was very helpful and supportive both before and after the shoot.
“All the staff involved in the shoot were fabulous, professional, warm, humorous and organised.
“We were looked after very well with refreshments and care.”
Stella had worked with us before – and this is what she said:
“It was my second job with Models Direct and it was another great experience!
“This photo shoot felt special because we had to be in the skin of nurses in action and show, as best as we could, their amazing skillset and dedication, as well as the human connection they bring every day
“The production team and the photographer were professional and really nice.
“We were guided by an experienced nurse, so I felt confident that I was representing nurses as realistically as possible!”
