We don’t like to praise ourselves too much, as we’re only as good as our last booking. That said, it doesn’t harm to share some successes with readers, and in this blog, we’re concentrating on our fabulous disabled models.
Models living with any disability have been used by various brands and services to increase inclusivity and to maximise the message they want to deliver to the public. Some brands specialise in products used by people with disabilities, so why wouldn’t they seek out the best models to flaunt what they’re offering?
Regardless of physical ability, if you’d like to give yourself the very best chance of being put forward to some of the UK’s top brands, please register with us and our team will take a look at what you can offer. To whet your appetite, let’s focus on a couple of experiences and feedback of some Models Direct disabled models.
Our model Frances was chosen by the Motability Scheme and RAC to star in advertising vehicles with special adaptations for people living with disabilities. Frances has spina bifida and she was delighted with the result.
Frances said, “I had the most brilliant day, led by a super-talented crew, and enjoyed watching from behind the scenes as much as being involved as the driver who had broken down!
“This was my first assignment and, from being met at the station by Jacqui upon arrival, I can honestly say I enjoyed every minute!

“Thank you to Molly at Models Direct for your endlessly cheerful emails; you really enabled me to be fully prepared for yesterday. Thank you, too, for introducing me to close camera work with such great people, for a company that is so relevant to me. I can’t wait for the next one!”
The next model in the spotlight is wheelchair user Alex. He was chosen by Heathrow Airport to star in a campaign emphasising how travellers should be treated similarly regardless of physical limitations.
Alex told us, “The whole experience was simple from start to finish. Everywhere was accessible, parking was easy, directions and contact information were all provided – it was just very easy. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and hope to promote diversity and inclusion as a wheelchair user in more future campaigns. Many thanks to everyone involved in the selection process – it was a privilege.”
Models Direct has been championing disabled modelling for several years. Every year we receive more requests from our loyal clients, so if you’d like to be considered for modelling work please don’t hesitate to register. Our team will be anticipating your application.
