Castrol: Green Screen Acting with Our Male Models

Published: 10th Dec 2021

Some of Models Direct’s clients are pioneers and forward-thinkers in their line of business. Castrol is one of them. They provide liquid engineering at its very best where their products extend to the world’s constant demands for oils, fluids and lubricants through sustainability, mobility and digitisation.

Sounds interesting, right? So, it was only natural that our modelling agency wanted to collaborate with them and help spearhead their marketing campaign. We enjoy working with our leading clients and making a positive impact – that’s what we love about our role in the modelling industry – making a real difference.

Castrol was on the lookout for two male models to play a role, where one would be required to act as a marine engineer (sounds very intriguing indeed!) Our talent, Ashley and Andrew, got the chance to do some green screen acting on their assignment with Castro in Bristol. Pretty exciting, well tell you!

Our male models relayed their experience with such great feedback we wanted to share with our readers. Have a read to find out how they got on.

I enjoyed the experience, the guys made me feel welcome and I had practised and read up on the acting subject. The assignment involved being a Marine Engineer and explaining the problems I face in terms of legislation and profitability. It was a green screen acting part and I would recommend it to others who have not done this type of work. The crew made me feel welcome and although they had high standards of what they expected this did not create a stressful environment, the most pressure was what I put on myself. I think the talent industry is worth exploring like any other, I try to update my portfolio as often as possible but hopefully after this assignment I may get further work to help improve my CV. I joined up purely to gain experience in something new and not to take it too seriously. Thank you Models Direct for this experience!”Ashley

“I had lots of fun on this assignment. It was amazing to film with a green screen and deliver dialogue directly to the camera. It was fun and a challenge at the same time, Models Direct kept me fully informed around the location and the client’s requirement making the whole experience so much more enjoyable. The client was very friendly and was keen to make sure we were all. Thank you for this experience!” Andrew

As a modelling agency, we receive a wide variety of work from a wide range of industries some of which you wouldn’t think would need a model. We have had our models star in ads for Barclays, TfL, Sky, Aviva and the BBC to name but a few. And our modelling assignments don’t just stop at photoshoots. Our talent has been featured in an array of live shows, TV ads, and digital ads.

Being a part of our modelling hub is a great way to step into the modelling world. We take care of all our models, regardless of which division they fall into. Our agency strives to ensure that everyone on our books gets the chance to be selected for bookings and be the star of the show. So whether that means you’ll be acting in front of a green screen or demonstrating a product, you’ll get the chance to be a professional model if your look is called for by our clients. Our clients were still coming to us for work even when the world had stopped moving last year, and we’re certain that more work will continue to land on our table as things start opening up again.
