When you think of the entertainment industry, what comes to mind? Acting? Singing? Dancing? How about if you want to get into one or some of these fields?
Did you know that modelling can be a great platform for moving on to other careers in the entertainment industry? No? Well, you’re at the right place because our Models Direct team will talk about how doors can open when you enter the modelling arena.
With our UK modelling agency, we have signed up a diverse range of models over our years in the industry – from baby models up to senior models. We’ve connected them with top-tier clients who have been happy with them and have gone to rebook them for further projects.
Take our long-standing female model, Neri Zaccardelli. She has enjoyed many bookings and with UK shopping channel, Ideal World, she returned for another successful assignment. Neri left feedback on her experience with us here:
“I had an awesome time yet again working with the Ideal World crew (Channel 22 Freeview, 654 Sky) advertising the NoNo hair removal system.
As soon as I walked in it was hugs and was just like walking into a workplace that had known you for years.
Seeing my fellow model Bernardo again was just like being with family and we knew exactly what we were doing.
I even made a little bit of Ideal World history, as they don’t normally allow tattoos to be shown on television. But the presenter said that so many people have them (and I hadn’t shaved my legs for quite a while, so there was plenty of hair to remove.) So I was allowed to advertise by shaving over my tattoos to prove it could be done, with no damage being caused.
Everyone remembered me and I them and I think I’ve made some fabulous friends to work with.

Tara Byrne was another one of our female models who saw a return at the Ideal World TV studios this time promoting Fabulift – an eye cream and serum brand launching their range. She recounted:
“This was my 2nd assignment with Models Direct. I was requested again by Ideal World to model the Fabulift product. I had a superb time and I loved every second of it. Everybody’s onset and offset were lovely and very welcoming and made me feel at home. I was ecstatic to have the experience again and it is all thanks to Models Direct to let me do these assignments. I cannot wait for my next assignment.”

Long established model and actor, Nigel, was hired for an acting job with Smartdesk. He shared his thoughts with us and for you!
“I have been a model and actor for 20 years now working in London and Europe, and moved to Norwich 3 years ago from London, but I missed working in the industry so I contacted Models Direct and they wanted to represent me. I was booked for an acting job last week which was very professional, and a lot of fun, and it was great to be on set again and meet some lovely people. Role on the next acting/modelling job ”
