Here at Models Direct we work with many charities, helping them promote the support they offer and the vital services they provide.

And none could be more worthwhile than Alzheimer’s Research UK.

Today, it is estimated that there are more than 980,000 people living with dementia in the UK – and this figure is expected to rise to 1.4 million by 2040.

Alzheimer’s Research UK is a dementia research charity that funds scientific studies to find ways to treat, diagnose and prevent all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s.

And, of course, the fundraising for their important work requires campaign and publicity material.

Models Direct has teamed up with Alzheimer’s Research UK in the past, finding models who meet their requirements to take part in photo shoots.

And the people they select from the shortlist we give them, always enjoy the experience of working with the charity.

On this occasion, Serge and Doris were our male and female models selected by those managing the photo shoot for the charity.

And as a result, they spent a day at a community centre in Duxford, Cambridgeshire, posing for photographs inside and out.

One series of images showed lively Christmas celebrations while another saw them out and about on a playing field.

Doris said it was a great experience. She told us:

I received an email from Gemma about the photo shoot and then a phone call to check if I was available.

The photo shoot, which was at Duxford Community Centre, was fun-filled as everyone on set was friendly and cheerful.

The crew was amazing.

The photographer Greg was calm and relaxed, which made the whole process easy.

And how did Serge find it?

He said:

It has been a great experience.

The photo shoot staff members were amicable, welcoming, professional and supportive throughout the session.

I had the opportunity to interact and socialise with people and ultimately had fun doing it.

It turned out to be an enjoyable sunny day in the countryside.

Thanks Gemma I look forward to getting more calls in the coming weeks.
