Morrisons Halloween

“Warning – can cause nightmares.”

Why the ominous introduction?

Well, it isn’t as menacing as it sounds, as this was a “warning” on one of the Halloween treats created by supermarket giant Morrisons – a firm favourite with shoppers throughout the UK, and one of our loyal clients.

The retail chain was looking for a selection of commercial models to help promote their range of ghoulish – but scrummy – Halloween products, from sweet confectionaries to sinister children’s clothes. And as our models attested, their experience was more treat than trick and left them craving for more modelling assignments!

Of course, it wasn’t the first time Morrisons asked us to come to their advertising rescue. See how we recently helped them with a campaign by recommending the delightful 5 year old model Zuriel:

With its eerie roots embedded in American tradition, Halloween’s popularity has grown every year in the UK, so it’s understandable that British businesses need to surpass their rivals by appealing to us – the consumer. It was another fine example which proves that commercial models are the best way to attract customers, rather than flashy superfluous gimmicks. Some work – no doubt – but there’s no substitute for the human (or in this case, the macabre) touch.

Our models took great delight in showcasing Morrisons’s medley of spooky merchandise, from witch’s costumes to pumpkins and a whole host of Halloween snacks. Some of the supermarket’s formidable delights include skull biscuits, Spicy Fright pizzas, pumpkin cakes and the celebrated DIY Gingerbread Halloween House.

Our models got to grips with the assignment with the necessary enthusiasm required for any successful job, with Jessica going “behind the scenes” in one of Morrisons’s fridge sections.

Models Direct female model on shoot for Morrisons

She said, “Today was my first assignment from Models Direct. I was naturally excited to complete the task. It was an amazing day role playing a Customer Assistant at Morrisons. They provided me with their uniform to make me fell the part. The photography team were welcoming and guided me through the session. It felt like real team work. I also want to take my hat off to all the superstore workers, particularly those working in the fridge section. It’s FREEZING in there! So a big thank you for all your hard work on replenishing the shelves and serving customers with a continuous smile on your faces.”

Retail work is perhaps something that a lot of customers take for granted, so it’s humbling for Jessica to acknowledge the hard graft it takes for a large supermarket to run on full steam.

Our young model, Albert, was equally thrilled to be involved. His parents noted, “My son, Albert, had his first shoot today and he absolutely loved it. Everything was so well organised and they made him feel so comfortable. He said he can’t wait for the next one!!”

Sharlene, one of our female commercial models, beamed, “The photo shoot for Morrisons’s Halloween pumpkin campaign was a grand experience and playing a store colleague for the day was interesting. The photo shoot lead for the day, Emily, was welcoming and so was the photographer. I was excited and anxious, but they were very reassuring. Thanks to Models Direct!”

As Morrisons continues to grow and to provide their customers with exceptional products, we’re pleased to be working with them by providing the best variety of superb models to appeal to a broader customer base. We look forward to putting forward far more models in the future, and we hope you’ll be as equally excited to join our team.
