Placing the Spotlight on Model Feedback

Published: 20th Nov 2022

Feedback is influential. We scroll for it when we want to purchase an item or check out a particular service. A previous buyer’s impartial advice and opinion can become so beneficial. It’s something you can lean on and base your judgement on because you trust their words and their experience. Whether it’s a 5-star review or something which lies on the lower end of the star scale, you appreciate that someone sparred the time to leave a footprint behind, and not just any old footprint, but a truly valuable one.

The good, the bad and the ugly

Social media platforms are enabling information to be shared at turbo speed. Since Models Direct is on most platforms, we’ve turned it up a notch and are requesting that our models send across Instagram reels and record short clips whilst they’re on set. This doesn’t mean to say that our written reviews are any less valuable but our new video feature helps our audience capture the atmosphere and experience directly from our models’ viewpoint. It’s easy to view and see what’s happening behind the scenes.

We’ve got feedback to share. Check out our pet model’s owner’s thoughts right here:

Star Pet Dog Model Stansa on set for Morrisons

Fabulous day with my dog, her first assignment, for Morrisons. Charlie was super helpful with information, where, when, who; that kind of stuff. My dog, Sansa loved the attention from Emily and was keen to meet everyone, especially Keith, the photographer! Can’t wait for our next assignment. Christine and Sansa x

A family modelling team left their review with us right here:

Model Family – The Breese’s on set for Park Holidays

Thank you so much to Charlie and the team for making this very last-minute shoot go smoothly! Despite the many logistics in play, Charlie worked hard to ensure that my two little ones and myself were taken care of and comfortable. I look forward to more opportunities like this, as it was such great fun! We really enjoyed meeting the other models and the photography team. A great few days, lots of laughs and smiles were shared!

It’s great to get feedback from our working models as we don’t get to go on set with them, unfortunately. It’s great to find out how their assignment goes with their own personalised recount of the day’s events. However, we do offer a follow-up check after the assignment has been completed to find out their thoughts, have a chat or answer any pending questions they may have. And because our presence is absent when they are shooting a still or filming, their feedback gives a holistic insight into how they feel and what they might take away from their modelling project.

The good, the bad and the ugly

Reviews and feedback can go either way – they can either be positively received or come across quite negatively. There’s a risk when inviting people to leave their thoughts and opinions as it can have the influence to make or break a brand. Nevertheless, handing over the power of communication to others is essential.

People have a right to express how they feel and what impact it has had on them whilst readers need to get a real feel of what it is they’re seeking reviews for. In our case, potential models might be trying to find out what life as a working model is like at Models Direct. Or how many times models have been booked or where they’ve been whisked off to. For whatever reason feedback is needed, it’s here – transparent, open and visible for all to see.

So far, over the course of our thirty-year reign in our modelling industry niche, we’ve received plenty of positive words. That’s not to say that no one has ever stated anything otherwise, but so many of our wonderful models have left impressive words (and now video clips) behind to stamp their mark in modelling history and we hope that they continue to do so. We’re looking forward to reading and seeing more of you and your reviews.
