Models who are older than the average age of a fashion model, which is 23 according to the Fashion Model Directory in 2019, are still seeing a bright future in the fashion industry.
Think of supermodel icons such as Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell. They’re still going strong in the fashion industry even though they started very young. Naomi was only 8 when she starred in Bob Marley’s Is This Love video and featured on the cover of Elle just before turning 16. Fast forward almost five decades on, she’s added other skillsets to her profile including actress and her work with charities.

It’s an enviable job that can be done to suit anyone’s needs, as models can reject jobs if it’s not convenient for them. All our jobs are great fun to be a part of, and the pay is pretty good, too, although the fee depends on the specific assignment.
Being a commercial model can open doors that can lead to bigger things. We were going to include the word “better” after “bigger things”, but there aren’t many things better than commercial modelling.
