Children may well be the most important thing in life. The future dictates what our children today will do in years to come. Different children will have different goals and aspirations; some children will help change and mould the world; others will simply hope to achieve happiness by having secure, enjoyable jobs and settling down with children of their own.

They’re certainly most important to parents. A child’s interests are almost as important as their safety – which is always paramount. When parents hear of their young son or daughter’s new hobby or pursuit, it’s always beneficial to nurture it if practical. New experiences help children grow, which we all want for our young, loved ones.

If your child has expressed an interest in commercial modelling (or, as is usually the case, if parents reading this think their child would be perfect in a range of brilliant modelling jobs), we want parents to know that the Models Direct values influence how seriously we take our responsibility to everyone involved – that’s our models and their parents, the brands we work with, and our very own staff. They all make bookings work, so we know that we must ensure all components are as happy and as slick as they can be.

Looking to hire models?

Should their child be picked by one of our clients, how can a parent know their child is safe on assignment?

Firstly, when a parent registers their child with us, we explain how the booking process works. We know that no model will know all the answers before they apply, so we take the time to discuss how clients approach us and how we recommend the best suited models to them.

Secondly, we have been in operation since 1990. That’s quite some time. We are fully regulated, and we’re an employment agency – i.e. we actively find work for our models, as opposed to simply charging a fee for photos, which is something we’ve never done. We are regularly inspected by the Department for Employment and the Department for Business.

Thirdly, all our clients are vetted, too. We don’t just take onboard any company without knowing their background.

Fourthly, we insist parents / guardians to accompany any model under the age of 18. It makes sense, of course, but it’s necessary.

No agency can genuinely guarantee work (the industry is as popular as ever – and therefore competitive), but we can guarantee that every one of our registered model’s safety, success and happiness is as important to us as our business.
