Today was my very first ad shoot, and I have to say, it was an exciting, fun-filled, and eye-opening experience.
From the moment I arrived at the studio, there was a buzz of energy in the air. The team was welcoming, and everyone seemed to be in their zone, preparing for what would turn out to be an unforgettable day. As we got started with the first few shots, I was amazed at how many people were behind the scenes, coordinating everything to perfection. The lighting, camera angles, and even the smallest details were all being adjusted to ensure the best results.
It was fascinating to see all the effort that goes into creating a perfect shot. While I expected there to be a lot of waiting around and setting up, the team made it smooth and fun with music, laughter, and light conversation. By midday, I felt like I had settled into my role and was having a blast.
It was not just about posing; it was about feeling the moment and connecting with the camera. I definitely felt more comfortable as the day went on, and there were several moments where I genuinely enjoyed being in front of the camera.
I would also thank my agent, Charlie, for her constand and prompt response to every query I had and in making this process as smooth and memorable as possible for me. In short, my first ad shoot was a thrilling experience. It was everything I hoped for and more, and I can’t wait to do it again!

AN EXPERIENCE TO REMEMBER
I personally joined Models Direct as I have always wanted to do modelling. This was my first modelling assignment and it is something I would definitely like to do again.I was really nervous to begin, but all the staff were very welcoming and made my time there enjoyable. The best part of the assignment was being able to try different clothes on while the stylist decided what looked best. The assignment was based on mother/daughter relationships which involved me having an informal interview over the phone answering questions about my mum, before travelling to the studio in London. There I had clothes chosen, a hair and make-up stylist and then a photo shoot.I gained confidence in this shoot, thanks to the welcoming staff, and gained the skills of posing in front of the camera, and socialising in a different environment. I would definitely recommend this to others - everyone enjoys a bit of pampering and this is exactly what happened! The whole day was informal and friendly and it was an experience to remember, especially having everything done for you.

Please be proactive in updating your profiles because this has helped immensely in securing a booking. hopefully one of many! The atmosphere that team fostered on set was welcoming. They made sure to give direction whilst allowing me to test poses without judgement, communicated off the set adding to my comfortability and they were genuinely positive people. I couldn't have asked for a better crew to be under the care of. Another piece of advice that helped is preparation. I would have had a tough time having to figure out body and facial poses on the spot. Luckily, I looked on social platforms beforehand. Best of luck!

Firstly, everyone involved in the shoot was absolutely lovely and welcoming.
The company did really well to provide us with everything that we needed, they looked out for us and this made the shoot much more relaxed. Also, they did really well to explain the purpose of the shoot and what was expected of us which really helped with getting into the right mindset.
I worked both indoors and outdoors portraying a homeless teenager in need of aid and then getting provided with the necessary aid. Working on the streets of Lewisham also helped in order to see the situations homeless people find themselves in. Being in the actual environment was really useful as it allowed me to see exactly what homeless people go through and this only helped me portray a homeless teenager better.The shoot was really fun and this is down to not only my love of being in front of camera but also the team we worked with were not just kind but also fun to work with.
The shoot was similar to how I expected by reading the brief but was different to how I expected in terms of how easy it was to work with the team. Also on a personal note this first experience really helped me to realise that being in front of camera is when I am in my element.
