I joined Models Direct after I took semi-retirement and had a bit more spare time on my hands. I am a fairly confident person and love meeting new people. I wanted to do something completely different and it seemed like a fun and interesting thing to do. This was my first assignment and I was booked to pose as part of a couple using Airport Parking Facilities for a holiday company. The assignment took place near Aberdeen Airport and was over three days. I didn't quite know what to expect, but I needn't have worried as the crew were fantastic at putting me at ease and explaining exactly what they needed from me. I thoroughly enjoyed working with my partner and the crew and learned about the process of shooting an advert. I found the whole experience totally enjoyable and really exciting, and would certainly like to do more work like this in the future. I think it has been a great move for me to join Models Direct as they have managed the whole booking process with professionalism. They have also been extremely encouraging and supportive.

Organising the shoot was really smooth. Charlie, at Models direct was amazing, keeping us informed, sending information and answering all our questions.
This was our sons first shoot, with me tagging a long. We did a son and father shoot for a new campaign. We got their in plenty of time. Both me and son were nervous as we were not sure what to expect. But the shoot crew were really nice and down to earth and made the whole experience really fun and enjoyable.
We took photos and videos performing some of the new online trends and playing games. My son had a great time, especially laughing at me.
The crew were amazing, keeping us informed, working with us to get the photos and videos right and coaching and explaing to my son. We were at the shoot for about 4 hours which was about right, we had drinks, breaks and lots of laughs. Couldnt ask for a better first time experience.

Today was my very first ad shoot, and I have to say, it was an exciting, fun-filled, and eye-opening experience.
From the moment I arrived at the studio, there was a buzz of energy in the air. The team was welcoming, and everyone seemed to be in their zone, preparing for what would turn out to be an unforgettable day. As we got started with the first few shots, I was amazed at how many people were behind the scenes, coordinating everything to perfection. The lighting, camera angles, and even the smallest details were all being adjusted to ensure the best results.
It was fascinating to see all the effort that goes into creating a perfect shot. While I expected there to be a lot of waiting around and setting up, the team made it smooth and fun with music, laughter, and light conversation. By midday, I felt like I had settled into my role and was having a blast.
It was not just about posing; it was about feeling the moment and connecting with the camera. I definitely felt more comfortable as the day went on, and there were several moments where I genuinely enjoyed being in front of the camera.
I would also thank my agent, Charlie, for her constand and prompt response to every query I had and in making this process as smooth and memorable as possible for me. In short, my first ad shoot was a thrilling experience. It was everything I hoped for and more, and I can’t wait to do it again!
