AN EXPERIENCE TO REMEMBER
I personally joined Models Direct as I have always wanted to do modelling. This was my first modelling assignment and it is something I would definitely like to do again.I was really nervous to begin, but all the staff were very welcoming and made my time there enjoyable. The best part of the assignment was being able to try different clothes on while the stylist decided what looked best. The assignment was based on mother/daughter relationships which involved me having an informal interview over the phone answering questions about my mum, before travelling to the studio in London. There I had clothes chosen, a hair and make-up stylist and then a photo shoot.I gained confidence in this shoot, thanks to the welcoming staff, and gained the skills of posing in front of the camera, and socialising in a different environment. I would definitely recommend this to others - everyone enjoys a bit of pampering and this is exactly what happened! The whole day was informal and friendly and it was an experience to remember, especially having everything done for you.

I loved the experience: agency and client staff was professional and supportive; photographer and videomaker were knowledgeable and guided us through the process step-by-step; colleagues were friendly and approachable. Today was an exciting and rewarding day on set for my modelling shoot. From the moment I arrived, the energy was upbeat and everyone on the team was welcoming and professional.
The creative direction for the shoot was clear, and I loved seeing how the vision came to life through styling and set design.
During the shoot, I felt confident and focused. The photographer gave great feedback, and the atmosphere on set made it easy to stay comfortable in front of the camera. We worked through several looks, each with its own vibe and story, which allowed me to explore a range of expressions and poses.
I appreciated how collaborative the experience was — everyone was working together to get the best results.
Overall, I left the shoot feeling proud and accomplished. It was a long day, but so worth it. I learned more about how to move with intention and respond to direction quickly, which I know will help in future shoots.

I just had to lay in bed and answer questions about my reason for being in hospital, then I chatted with the 'doctor' on being discharged. I didn't necessarily learn new skills as I am used to working on stills shoots, but I would recommend this type of work as it is all great experience. In terms of joining an agency, I think you have to be patient and not expect too much too soon. I signed with Models Direct because they approached me.
