Firstly, everyone involved in the shoot was absolutely lovely and welcoming.
The company did really well to provide us with everything that we needed, they looked out for us and this made the shoot much more relaxed. Also, they did really well to explain the purpose of the shoot and what was expected of us which really helped with getting into the right mindset.
I worked both indoors and outdoors portraying a homeless teenager in need of aid and then getting provided with the necessary aid. Working on the streets of Lewisham also helped in order to see the situations homeless people find themselves in. Being in the actual environment was really useful as it allowed me to see exactly what homeless people go through and this only helped me portray a homeless teenager better.The shoot was really fun and this is down to not only my love of being in front of camera but also the team we worked with were not just kind but also fun to work with.
The shoot was similar to how I expected by reading the brief but was different to how I expected in terms of how easy it was to work with the team. Also on a personal note this first experience really helped me to realise that being in front of camera is when I am in my element.

First I would like to thank Gemma and Charlie for their constant care and support at Models Direct. My latest shoot in care home was an amazing day. Helping to support those amazing people in there both residents and the staff. My day working alongside other models from Models Direct was amazing some as carers some like me as a resident and another playing a chef. With the chef I went through what I would like to eat for the day from the menu...filming walking around the grounds....chatting to other residents or the carers. Having a dance with another resident to keep us fit.....it is a full day filming with three very professional camera men who kept us informed as how they wanted a scene done....please be committed and the smile at the end of the day must be the same at at the beginning. A wonderful day...ready to do another....

What a great experience we have just had as a family. Superb organisation right from the very beginning by Gemma @ Models Direct.
Gemma was very supportive and communicative all the way through and everyone involved with the shoot was extremely professional, friendly and made the experience a very enjoyable one.
The shoot was at a Holiday park and we got to experience many aspects of the parks facilities including water slides, restaurant, cinema and even their wave surfer!
All was explained to us before the day and any changes enforced by the weather was communicated with us fully so we always knew what we were doing next.

I had the pleasure of participating in a shoot today, and I wanted to share my experience. The day began with a warm welcome at reception, where I enjoyed a refreshing cup before heading to the set. There, I met Chris Golding, whose exuberance whose and detailed briefing set the tone for the day. His perspective in the country setting and clear outline of the project were both engaging and informative.
Caitlin, one of the key team members then arrived, while others assumed their roles. I was particularly struck by the fact that two of the carers featured were real-life community staff. Their soothing presence and dedication brought a genuine energy which was infectious.
The photographer’s expertise was exceptional, with some great lighting and angles for every scene. The shoot was a pleasure, thanks to the variety of backdrops—kitchen, living room, bedroom, garden, and market—each thoughtfully scouted. Some scenes were bathed in soft pastel hues, while others, like the riverside walk, were beautifully dappled, creating a joyful atmosphere. The focused nature of the work yet on such a pleasant day was disciplining.
The shoot balanced the challenge of portraying the emotional weight of separation with the need to make the living accommodation accessible and appealing. Having experienced loss myself last year, I found the sensitivity with which this was handled quite moving.
