My two dalmatians were booked to appear at a Christmas 'animal movie magic' event, held at Two Rivers Shopping Centre in Staines. As this was Bongo and Boris's first assignment I did feel a little nervous beforehand as I didn't know what to expect, but we all ended up having such a fantastic day! Bingo, Boris and I enjoyed the huge attention we received by the general public and this was a great experience from both dogs. Everyone loved having their photos taken with them and it was such a proud moment to see Bongo's poster up on the Two Rivers billboards. This has definitely been a good experience for both dogs and something useful to put on the portfolio as well as probably having some good photos to show as the local paper came to take photos. We decided to join Models Direct to show off our dalmatians as they're very well behaved and classic looking dogs, and they certainly seemed to please all that met them today!

I have been extremely impressed with Models Direct as an Agency due to many factors. From the registration process with Heidi who actually had conversations with me and didn't make me feel like just a number to get on their books to pay the fee, but who I felt was completely genuine, watching their active and impressive social media postings (hoping one day I would be up there!), good luck wishes and well done posts and stories, to being active in looking for work for me from the beginning.
And then there's Gemma! Gemma has been an absolute pleasure to work with. She was so helpful in booking in my first job with Models Direct and was in regular contact, sending through booking information, promptly answered any queries that I had, helped me to feel at ease in the lead up, wished me luck on the day and then followed up after the shoot. Gemma really is a credit to the agency as she is professional, friendly, personable, positive, full of encouragement and very knowledgeable.
I am still smiling from ear to ear after the shoot yesterday as I couldn't have asked for a better first experience! My male model partner was a perfect match for me, and the photographers were so helpful, experienced, laid back, calming and such a pleasure to work with, we all enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and had such a laugh! The client was very accommodating also, looked after us very well and made us feel special.
I honestly can't thank Models Direct and Gemma enough and will always have the fondest memories of my first shoot!

I had the pleasure of participating in a shoot today, and I wanted to share my experience. The day began with a warm welcome at reception, where I enjoyed a refreshing cup before heading to the set. There, I met Chris Golding, whose exuberance whose and detailed briefing set the tone for the day. His perspective in the country setting and clear outline of the project were both engaging and informative.
Caitlin, one of the key team members then arrived, while others assumed their roles. I was particularly struck by the fact that two of the carers featured were real-life community staff. Their soothing presence and dedication brought a genuine energy which was infectious.
The photographer’s expertise was exceptional, with some great lighting and angles for every scene. The shoot was a pleasure, thanks to the variety of backdrops—kitchen, living room, bedroom, garden, and market—each thoughtfully scouted. Some scenes were bathed in soft pastel hues, while others, like the riverside walk, were beautifully dappled, creating a joyful atmosphere. The focused nature of the work yet on such a pleasant day was disciplining.
The shoot balanced the challenge of portraying the emotional weight of separation with the need to make the living accommodation accessible and appealing. Having experienced loss myself last year, I found the sensitivity with which this was handled quite moving.
