A sunshiney day’s work

This was a modelling assignment held in the beautiful Surrey countryside, filmed mostly outside in glorious sunshine.
I had such an interesting and rewarding day with a great group of people who looked after me exceptionally well and were welcoming and reassuring.

JUMPING IN THE AIR
At first I was nervous, as I didn’t know what to expect given that this was my first assignment, but meeting the Action Images team and the other models made it really easy for me to just get on with the job. The best part of the assignment was having the pictures taken and acting out scenarios - the experience as a whole was brilliant. The assignment was for the FIFA 2014 World Cup campaign. We were asked to wear colours of the teams that were participating as well as having our faces painted. Once we were all dressed up we had to pretend to celebrate a goal, or jump in the air etc - acting like fans would at a real game. I gained a lot of confidence, as the team made it really easy for me to be myself and just get on with it. I would definitely recommend my experience to others, in fact I already have because I got a lot out of it, and it would be nice if others could so as well.I would highly advise anyone pursuing a career in the talent industry to join an agency, as it just makes the whole process much easier and for a fraction of the cost. My main reason for joining up with Models Direct was because my friends told me I should do modelling and this agency was very appealing to me. I don’t regret it one bit.

First shoot was a success!!Was booked for a video shoot and had a great time! Met loads of other models and actors from the agency with different levels of experience.It was a day shoot and we had time to eat in the middle too which was good! CLIMBING IN CONFIDENCE
The assignment Models Direct sent me on with the National Trust was really good fun but I was very nervous because I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. In this modelling shoot I had to overcome my fear of heights as we were asked to climb a tree for the photos! But the photographer was nice and helped a lot. The tree was easy to climb, there were five of us in the tree and we had lots of pictures taken in different poses. In the end I enjoyed climbing and got more confident as I climbed higher and higher. I think everyone should climb trees because this was what the National Trust says is good for us. I would say that being a model is a great way of doing new things and learning new stuff. If you want to be a model you should join an agency and try to keep your e-portfolio up to date.
