This was Ethan’s second assignment with Models Direct and was slightly different from the first one as this time he was not involved in a TV show but in a large campaign for a top mobile phone provider which included chatting amongst other Models Direct models and a photo shoot. Charlie once again was amazing letting me, (his Mother), know all the information regarding the shoot and keeping me updated with any changes. On the day we were greeted by one of the mobile phone providers staff who was really lovely and talked Ethan through what was expected of him for the morning shoot all the other models present were also from Models Direct and were very lovely and friendly. The shoot was amazing. Ethan really enjoyed all of it and is really looking forward to seeing the results of the campaign when it’s released soon. Thank you once again Models Direct for the opportunity of another amazing project can’t wait for the next one.

The staff were really great and accommodating. They guided me throughout the photoshoot and told me how or what to do. However, there seems to be a miscommunication within the files that were sent to us as we didn’t need 3-4 outfits for the photoshoot. The wait for my photoshoot also took quite a while, under an hour. Overall the experience and staff were really good and I want to say thank you to Epson for picking me and giving me this opportunity.

Firstly, everyone involved in the shoot was absolutely lovely and welcoming.
The company did really well to provide us with everything that we needed, they looked out for us and this made the shoot much more relaxed. Also, they did really well to explain the purpose of the shoot and what was expected of us which really helped with getting into the right mindset.
I worked both indoors and outdoors portraying a homeless teenager in need of aid and then getting provided with the necessary aid. Working on the streets of Lewisham also helped in order to see the situations homeless people find themselves in. Being in the actual environment was really useful as it allowed me to see exactly what homeless people go through and this only helped me portray a homeless teenager better.The shoot was really fun and this is down to not only my love of being in front of camera but also the team we worked with were not just kind but also fun to work with.
The shoot was similar to how I expected by reading the brief but was different to how I expected in terms of how easy it was to work with the team. Also on a personal note this first experience really helped me to realise that being in front of camera is when I am in my element.

I had the pleasure of participating in a shoot today, and I wanted to share my experience. The day began with a warm welcome at reception, where I enjoyed a refreshing cup before heading to the set. There, I met Chris Golding, whose exuberance whose and detailed briefing set the tone for the day. His perspective in the country setting and clear outline of the project were both engaging and informative.
Caitlin, one of the key team members then arrived, while others assumed their roles. I was particularly struck by the fact that two of the carers featured were real-life community staff. Their soothing presence and dedication brought a genuine energy which was infectious.
The photographer’s expertise was exceptional, with some great lighting and angles for every scene. The shoot was a pleasure, thanks to the variety of backdrops—kitchen, living room, bedroom, garden, and market—each thoughtfully scouted. Some scenes were bathed in soft pastel hues, while others, like the riverside walk, were beautifully dappled, creating a joyful atmosphere. The focused nature of the work yet on such a pleasant day was disciplining.
The shoot balanced the challenge of portraying the emotional weight of separation with the need to make the living accommodation accessible and appealing. Having experienced loss myself last year, I found the sensitivity with which this was handled quite moving.
