Most people would never in a million years see themselves as a model.
And, if you asked them why not, then they would tell you they didn’t have the right looks, body shape or experience.
Well, now is the moment to get real because most people are wrong!
Almost anyone can be a model – and it’s about time we smashed the stereotypes to smithereens!

For far too long the fashion and modelling industries bought into the notion that models had to be tall, slim and striking but the world has changed since then.
Not only do we live in much more inclusive societies, but those selling us their products and services have realised that we relate much better to models who look like us.
We want to see older people, younger people, people with disabilities and people with all sorts of body shapes and sizes on our screens.
As consumers, we are more likely to identify with those of varying skin and hair colours, cultures and religions than simply stereotypical images of what most people look like.
So where does that leave people with an interest in modelling?
It means that if they think it is something they might enjoy, then they should give it a go.
Models Direct requires all sorts of female, male and child models for its books, as well as pets for certain projects.
Our clients could ask us for anyone at all – and we like to be ready to respond.

It is also important to know that you don’t have to be an experienced, professional model to join us.
Most of us only recognise or know the names of standout supermodels but for every Kendall Jenner or Gigi Hadid there are hundreds and thousands of Jane Smiths and Joe Browns.
The work we offer here at Models Direct is paid, part-time work – we send real people along to all sorts of assignments for clients who are seeking everyday models that look like normal members of the public.
And so, if you are interested in dipping your toe into the world of modelling, there is no reason at all why that shouldn’t be you.
You could try your hand at something new, have fun and be paid for it!
And you could also do your part towards breaking the stereotypical image of what a model should look or be like.
