It felt good to be booked for the DWP's latest advertising shoot. I was required to portray a financial adviser whilst being photographed. The people on the shoot were nice and friendly and I learnt some new skills, such as how to pose my hands. I would recommend this type of work to others as this assignment was most enjoyable - if you're not too shy, then go for it! I signed up with Models Direct due to my ambition and to gain experience within the industry.
The assignment was really fun and enjoyable. Any pre-shoot nerves were soon forgotten when I arrived because everyone was so welcoming, friendly and it just felt like a very relaxed atmosphere. Its definitely something I would like to do again as it involved role play, which is different to anything I've ever done before, it gives you and everyone involved the freedom to do what comes naturally to help create the images the photographers are looking for. The most enjoyable part for me would have to be when I was given permission to knock a saucepan and mug off the desk and across the room so the photographer could get an action shot of the mug in mid air. Nobody got hurt, however we were one saucepan down after it smashed on the floor. The assignment was titled 'heated debate' and we were all given a role to play to help create an image showing confrontation, disagreements, accidents and spillages whilst a person leading the meeting is trying to keep everyone calm and take control. I definitely gained more confidence, it's the same with anything you do, the more you do it the more confident you will become. I would recommend this to anyone looking to break into the industry because it can seem daunting at first but everyone is here to help, from Models Direct, the models you're working with, the hair and makeup team to the photographers etc. Its also a great opportunity to meet new people, network and try new things. I think its a very good move to join an agency because if you're like me, always struggling for time due to work commitments an agency like Models Direct is always actively looking for work for you and when a suitable opportunity arises or when a client is interested in booking you, they get in touch with the information. I personally joined Models Direct for that reason and because I wanted to gain experience in other areas of the industry not just modelling, that way I can be more versatile with the type of jobs and assignments I take on.
I enjoyed my assignment for Department for Work and Pensions through Models Direct in Sheffield. I was only a bit nervous at first, thinking that I wouldn't be the right fit the assignment, but as soon as I arrived, the directors and other models made me feel welcome and comfortable and looked after me very well - also giving me instructions well too. The assignment took place in a cafe which was closed for the day and myself and the other models were asked to act out different scenarios, such as posing as a waiter or a customer while photos were taken of us. DWP will use the photos for advertising their welfare and pension policy. I did enjoy the assignment and I learnt a lot and the experience I gained from this assignment will benefit me for years to come, as well as the great amount of confidence I gained. I would encourage people who are looking for modelling work to do it under Models Direct as the advisers look after you if you are stuck about anything and they have a lot of clients which increases of your chances of having regular work. I decided to join Models Direct having read good reviews about the agency and I have the ambition to succeed in this career under their guidance. Thank you Models Direct.
The fashion show went really well and everybody was very helpful and friendly. I learnt new catwalk modelling techniques and tips which improved my confidence. I would definitely recommend this experience as it is a good start and a step in the right direction for those wanting to pursue a modelling career. I decided to join Models Direct to become a model and gain experience in the industry. So far so good - really happy!
I really enjoyed my experience of modelling on this assignment. I did feel nervous at the start but the role I had to play suited me well. I was supposed to be an a senior accountant, amongst other participants. Everybody was very friendly and encouraging. All the other participants worked well as a team. The directors were very helpful and I learned a lot about portraying various emotions as suggested. Thank you Models Direct for the opportunity of being involved. I would be very happy to do this again. I now feel I need to be more proactive in seeking roles and improving my e- portfolio.
What an Amazing experience I had going on location, an adventure is how I would describe it, moving to different areas to shoo felt a bit like being in a James bond film, so thrilling and exciting not knowing what might come next . At first, I was a little bit nervous but then my nerves calmed down and all went well. I like to think I always learn from my assignments in different ways and that it helps my confidence to grow each time I do a assignment. I really enjoy modelling, it builds your confidence and makes me feel like I am doing something worth while. I think it is worthwhile joining an agency such as Models Direct, as they will help you in so many different ways and will be there to help and guide you. This assignment with Wex Photographic was my first assignment and really enjoyed the day, it was great working with people who knew what they were doing and were very clear in what they wanted to achieve. All were very friendly and made me feel relaxed from the beginning, thanks to all involved. I hope to do many more assignments through Models Direct who kept me informed throughout the job, Thank you!
I really enjoyed my first job with Models Direct. I got along with the other models as they were all around my age, so that was a bonus. I would strongly recommend Models Direct - I was very impressed with the communication between myself and Molly. I can't wait for my next job!
I went to the video shoot feeling very confident, despite it being very different from anything I've experienced before. I definitely enjoyed myself also was really good to meet some of the other models that are also with Models Direct, as for some of us it was our first shoot through the agency. Chris Chapman firstly got us all into a room for a quick briefing of the event and what he needed from us, which was to be in groups and act like a happy group of friends on a night out at this event. I was asked to walk down the road with another model towards the entrance of the event then greet another model with a friendly smile and a hug then walk in all together. The most enjoyable part of the assignment was being able to enjoy the event on a personal level as well as professionally. There were some very interesting books and pictures on display which sparked up a lot of conversation between myself and other models. I would most definitely work with the client again if the chance came up or if they are holding another event. I felt that the experience gave me new confidence when shooting a video and engaging with other models. I would definitely recommend the experience to a friend or family member. The first bit of advice I would give is to believe in yourself and don't be afraid to try new things. If you feel comfortable in this field of work then you can definitely achieve big things when with a agency. My e-portfolio has been getting a lot of views so I am currently in the process of getting some new photos to upload. What made me decide to join to Models Direct was my drive/ambition to pursue a new career as modelling has always been a dream of mine. Thoroughly enjoyable. Working with The National Lottery was great fun. I was told the work would be 1 hour and it was just 1 hour - they weren't joking! I turned up, got dressed into my uniform for the job (chauffeur hat) and hopped into the car that was being shot. The public were encouraged to have pictures with me and the car, and the campaign was focused around lost EuroMillions tickets. The energy was great and all staff were smart and professional, and very well informed, polite and great fun all in all as a day overall. Beforehand I was partially nervous, this was only because I thought I wouldn't fit the part for the director(s); self doubt really! But I was completely wrong, when I got there, the directors and other models made feel comfortable straight away. I wasn't nervous anymore. I leaned a lot about the gallery and met some really cool people; which was honestly the most enjoyable part of the assignment and being in a environment I wasn't used to. My confidence definitely improved after this assignment therefore I would recommend it to others who like me were nervous but excited at the same time. Advice I would give to someone would be to not think too much, keep an open mind approach to every assignment because this will keep you calm and believe me you'll love it more than you'd think! Really interesting day at a company making home lifts taking photos to use in their promotional material.I worked as one half of a couple, the other half of which was also a Models Direct Model, whose experience immediately put me at ease.I learnt a lot about how to react to a camera but the abiding memory will be laughing a lot and basically having a fun day out. It provided a fascinating insight into a completely new world for me and I am really looking forward to whatever the next Models Direct assignment holds.
I had lots of fun on this assignment. It was amazing to film with a green screen and deliver dialog direct to camera. It was fun and a challenge at the same time, Models Direct kept me fully informed around the location and the clients requirement making the whole experience so much more enjoyable. The client was very friendly and was keen to make sure we were all. Thank you for this experience!

This was the second assignment that I have had from Models Direct, in which I had to play the part of a security guard for the NHS Professionals latest advertising material. Everybody on set was really friendly and made me feel welcome. Models Direct organised everything extremely well once again - really looking forward to my next assignment!

How to begin? I had a great time. I was a bit nervous to begin with, but the team soon put that to rest and then the fun began! I was required to play a hospital porter, so posing as if I was moving patients from room to room etc.I would definitely do this type of work again, it was very enjoyable and fun to do. I would recommend this experience to others - it's fun, confidence building and eye opening to so many things. You will discover skills and talents you didn't know you had in so many different ways. It's a great move to join an agency such as Models Direct - I joined spur of the moment and I'm very glad that I did!
A most enjoyable assignment! This was my first time in a major NHS Hospital, but not the first time I have worked with my fellow model Patricia, although today our shoots were entirely independent of each other. Today I was a patient in a hospital bed, at first sick and having appropriate tests and secondly having recovered being given the good news that I could go home. The production team were kind, knew exactly what they were looking for, and I hope I met their requirements and the shoot finished dead on time. Models Direct and I have worked together on several assignments in my brief career and I can only say how much I appreciate their support, especially from Molly. I joined TM almost by accident but it has turned out to a be a very happy one - more please!
The TFL assignment was good and I enjoyed the experience. I was slightly nervous as this was my first assignment, but when the other models and the photographer arrived they created a relaxed and welcoming environment, in which I met some great people. Thanks to Models Direct for this opportunity, I am looking forward to any future bookings/assignments.
This was my first assignment via Models Direct. It was a really nice small project, but very enjoyable and would like to do more assignments like this. The team I worked with were friendly and helpful. The most enjoyable thing was the location and watching everything being set up. The photo shoot gave me a lot of confidence and I learnt a few skills and poses. I would definitely recommend such projects Once again I would like to thank the Models Direct team for making this happen for me, and I look forward to working with you on other projects!
It was fantastic experience for me to be a model for two days at a fashion demonstration for Henri Lloyd. I was a bit nervous at the beginning as this was my first such experience, but overall it was a great fun and I enjoyed my time on assignment a lot. The most enjoyable part of the assignment was meeting all new people and having a chance to try on so many clothes. Also meeting and working with my fellow model Claire was a real pleasure.I was asked to put on Henri Lloyd's new collection clothes and show them on a stage and by walking around the show room. I was to change the clothes few times during the show on both days. I gained more confidence from this assignment as I had to answer some questions that guests would have asked. They were touching the clothes while I had them on, so it was a bit strange at first but I got used to it after sometime. I would recommend that kind of experience to anyone as this way you can gain more skills and abilities. Going through an agency in looking for modeling work is a good way - there are much more opportunities. The staff at Models Direct are very helpful and will guide you through all your concerns. You need to take a bit of time to build up your portfolio - since I started to be more proactive I noticed that my portfolio attracted more interest from clients. Joining Models Direct was the first step for me to get into modeling industry and it was right decision that I joined. I have been looking for the chances to gain experience. Modeling industry is my dream and I am very ambitious about going for it - after having this experience - even more so. Thank you for this chance.
I was booked to be a part of a wedding photoshoot at Edinburgh Castle. This was my first assignment with Models Direct, in fact it was my first modelling assignment ever, and so I was a bit apprehensive about the whole experience. However I needn't have worried as everyone there was so friendly and approachable. The photographers, client reps and other models were all very professional and easy to work with and I feel like I gained some really useful pointers and tips which I know will come in handy for any future work that comes up. Being open to suggestions and direction from the photographers is definitely a good idea, and being able to have a laugh with the people you are working with is important too - relax and be comfortable with what you are doing, it'll make for a natural look. I would definitely recommend Models Direct to anyone looking to get into the industry - they've been professional, helpful and supportive every step of the way. I know that I need to be more proactive with updating my profile, but at least I've now got some new shots to do it with!
I was an extra on an advert for Lloyds TSB, playing one of a crew of 1930's Lifeboat-men being hauled up Holkham Beach by a team of Black Horses. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole day. We were really well looked after by the film crew, and everyone was very helpful including make up, costume and directors. The other extras were a great crowd and as we spent the whole morning together on the lifeboat this made for a great sense of camaraderie. It was also fascinating seeing just how much effort and precision goes into creating what will in the end be a very short piece of promotional film. A very big thank you to Models Direct for the opportunity to gain experience in 'extra' work which is an additional career development on top of the modelling work I have been doing. I'm looking forward to further experiences in this branch of the entertainment industry.
I had to play the part of a coxswain on a restored 1930's lifeboat being pulled into shore by horse on location on the North Norfolk Coast. I was nervous to start off with but the film crew soon put us all at ease. I had a most enjoyable day and met some great people. It was an immense feeling being on set and good to get an insight to seeing the mechanics of how everything works and falls into place. I would urge anybody who is thinking of signing up with Models Direct to do it. You will not regret it. Models Direct have been brilliant and organised everything with military precision throughout the registration process and everything that is involved with the assignments process.
My modeling job was for a new product on the market to help with the treatment of psoriasis brought to you by Philips. The job entailed getting the public's attention by drawing in potential customers to our stand to which our exhibition was on display. It was an enjoyable task that basically involved confidently approaching people at the in hope to gain there interest in the gadget. It was a great company to work for and their generosity regarding food and accommodation etc far outweighed my expectations. Thanks to Models Direct for the opportunity.
I had a great day shooting for the new Lloyds TSB advert. It was genuinely one of the best experiences I've ever had because I'm looking for a job in the industry and it was great to see a professional production crew working on a real advert. My job as an extra involved me jumping out of a moving boat and running through the water past the horses that were pulling the boat. At first I thought I'd be fine, but it got quite tiring as I had to do it about 6 times! I wouldn't say I was nervous before because I'm used to being in the sea as I used to be a fisherman, but there was a bit of pressure to get it right on the final takes. Other than that, the whole thing went smoothly and the crew were great with me. I would definitely recommend this experience to other people who are thinking they would like to be in TV or films. I signed up to an agency because its an easier way to get work and I've always wanted to do a bit of modelling. It's great fun to be involved in and I would like to say thank you to Models Direct because without them I would never have been given this great opportunity.
I had an absolute blinder on yesterday's assignment! I thoroughly enjoyed my day and would recommend the experience to anyone. Mark (the photographer) gave great direction. I wish I could do this all day everyday! I was nervous before my first modelling job, but this time I was excited beforehand. Each job just gets better.
