This was a simple PR stunt, myself and another model has to dress as members of the Queens Guard for an event on the Thames in London. The customers were very receptive to us, wanting plenty of photos with the vistas of London passing in the background. In terms of advice for others, be on time and be flexible. We ended up doing a bit of overtime, but were both happy for the extra money! This was a good experience and a little different from the normal photos shoot style events. Thanks Models Direct!

A fantastic mornings work with fantastic people - everyone was friendly and professional the whole time. Anyone who is thinking about modelling, I would really recommend it as it's huge fun and boosts your confidence ten fold!! Thanks Models Direct, Liam

I was quite nervous the night before my first assignment, but on arrival I was made to feel very welcome and at ease immediately. The shoot went very well and I cannot thank Models Direct enough for all their help with relaxing me and keeping my confidence up. Roll on the next job - I'm ready and can't wait!

As this was my first experience being a male model, I felt very nervous beforehand. The idea of not being good enough being my main concern, however, once I'd met the photographer I instantly felt more relaxed and did then find that I was enjoying the experience and learning a lot. Now having the experience, I know that it is something I would want to do again. I was asked to pose in a James Bond like setting for a National Lottery campaign in which they were promoting an unclaimed ticket that was won on Valentines Day 2015. I was asked to pose with roses, wine an a large lottery cheque along the beach front on Dawlish beach in Devon. The use of props (roses, wine and a large cheque) was the most enjoyable part, possibly because I felt it took the focus away from me! The photo shoot helped me gain more confidence in front of the camera, which is something I will take with me into the future. I would recommend the experience to others, as I feel a lot of people would also enjoy this kind of assignment just as much as I did. I believe confidence is the main key if you are thinking of doing work in the talent industry, if you have this then I would certainly say join Models Direct as they spend a lot of time finding work for you. I joined for the experience, I had heard of people doing it before and thought I should try it for myself. I was a little skeptical at first that I wouldn't receive any work, but this now isn't the case. I do try to keep my porfolio updated, but not as much as I think is required as I'm not one for taking photos of myself, and this being my first assignment I don't have any professional shots to add in, until now anyway!

Yesterday (Wed 22/04/2015), I was asked to play an interviewee (a politician) for an upcoming corporate commercial representing Duracell batteries. The video shoot took place in Central Gardens in Bournemouth and filming was between 2pm-6pm that day. I was nervous beforehand, being that this was my first time doing this sort of thing and I didn't know what to expect. But after meeting the crew (who were really cool and friendly) and working with them, I found the whole experience most enjoyable indeed. I enjoyed getting to know some of the crew including producer Neil, contributor Jo and Sarah who played the reporter interviewing me. I certainly learned some new skills including what positions to be in front of camera, give short answers and to look presentable (smiley face and that!). I also gained confidence and experience from the time I served there, experience which I hope to find useful in the future when pursuing work through Models Direct. I think Models Direct have been really good in setting up the assignment and for that I am most grateful. I am able to give positive feedback about my adventure which has not only given me confidence, but hopefully will persuade others try assignments like these. It's only when you start something for the first time, that you realise how good it actually is. I would recommend this experience to others as it's a great opportunity to understand and learn the skills and techniques of the TV and film industry (even if it's only for a few hours). You get to meet some good people as well which always helps. I personally joined Models Direct because I wanted to try something new and gain experience and self-confidence from it. My ambition is to take part in TV commercials like Duracell, do some modelling for catalogues, and maybe down the line be an extra in a drama or film. I joined back in October 2014 and I added some quality headshots from a recent shoot in Shoreditch for my portfolio which has really helped my cause. I think for anyone looking to get into the industry as a model, actor, actress etc, make sure you get really good photos (recent ones), especially headshots because that's how you get responses from production companies and agencies for future work.

On my way to my assignment, I was nervous at first due to not knowing what was expected of me. On arrival everyone was very welcoming and helpful. I had a great time throughout and would love to do something like this again! The whole experience was very enjoyable and picking out one thing I enjoyed most, it would be being strapped to the moving vehicle. My role in this job was a spectator strapped to a moving vehicle. I was asked to look surprised and amazed. I have learnt a lot from this experience - I'm more confident, I know how to act in front of the camera and meeting new people was a great bonus. My advice for anyone thinking about this sort of role is to be outgoing, be prepared for anything that's asked of you and stay positive. Just have fun and you will enjoy the experience! I signed up with Models Direct as the staff were so lovely and helpful. It's ideal to sign up to an agency and I would highly recommend Models Direct to get you started in this industry.

On this particular assignment, I was booked for Duracell's corporate film. I spent a few hours working with other models actors and directors, so I didn't feel nervous at all. The only thing I was worried about was getting there late, but with the help of the Bookings Manager (in this instance - Molly) I was give as much information as I needed to know before the assignment, hence I was able to get there well before the call time. If you're looking to become a model or actor, the best advice I can give is to prepare yourself and be ready at all times. That is keeping fit, looking good and healthy as you never know when you will need to go out on an assignment. It is also important to be ready mentally, that is having a positive mindset. Being familiar with improvisation is also a great way of preparing yourself. I would highly recommend Models Direct to anybody looking to propel their modelling/acting career. Models Direct is a great option to consider - there are plenty of opportunities here and you will be working with a great team. If you are going to join the agency it is important to follow up with everyone involved so that you know exactly what is happening. The responsibility is on yourself as a model to get your work done, not just the agency.

This assignment was easily the most fun I have had with my clothes on!! I had been booked to model an excellent new range of clothing from a UK Manufacturer and 3 hours and 750 photos later I think we had cracked it! The photos are already up on the companies website and I cannot begin to describe to you the thrill of seeing the results of our (hard) work already loaded and hopefully adding value to the clients business. The client and photographer were great fun and I am proud to have been involved at the ground floor of what I am sure will be a hugely successful business for them! Thanks to Models Direct for the opportunity.

The filming assignment was an absolute blast right from the moment we arrived on set! It was nice to be in amongst a relatively large group of actors and models who quickly bonded into a fun group. The Production company were very welcoming and looked after us all magnificently throughout the entire project. We got to see a very professional team up-close, and it was fascinating to be able to observe first-hand the process by which they set about completing their task (which we are still sworn to secrecy about!)I would absolutely not hesitate to recommend anybody to join the Models Direct roster - if you get a gig like the one we've just completed, you'll have more fun than you thought possible and lasting memories and friendships to cherish... :0)

My first assignment on behalf of Models Direct was brilliant - the staff were super friendly and made it a very comfortable experience. It was also a great laugh as the other actors and all the staff were amazing. I would 100% do it again as it is highly enjoyable! The best part of the assignment was most times "cut" was called as something funny had been said or happened... i.e the camera nearly falling of the truck! We assisted with a car illusion based on a moving truck with a celebrity. This experience has built my confidence level back to how it used to be when I was a dancer and I'm highly appreciative for the opportunity.

Being a model was fun, on this particular day it was so easy, despite the fact it was cold and windy. I wasn't particularly nervous at all and I really enjoyed the experience. I met new people and we all had a really good time together, this was something I would do definitely again and I'm really looking forward to doing future work through Models Direct. It was very easy and a lot of fun when we just hung around and I was talking to lots of people, and had a chance to build new friendships with people who I otherwise would not have met prior to this experience. The task set involved us going on the truck attached with the harness to it. Our group was observers and we didn't have to do much but just to stand on the truck. Furthermore this was my first experience in shooting for film and I thoroughly enjoyed it - If I'm honest I'm quite a shy person in real life, but I during this experience I realised that in fact when I'm in front of the camera I'm naturally confident which was such a surprise for me. I would definitely recommend this experience to everyone and anyone. This experience taught me that no matter who you are and what you do, this is a great chance to confidence build and develop yourself to the public. Moreover it is also a fantastic opportunity to meet new people from different walks of life, hear their stories and their journeys, its refreshing and you learn a lot from people, so it is an experience where you not only walk away with a film shooting experience but also some life lessons. I am very much a newby in this industry, but I've learnt that no matter what talent you have or don't have, working with an agency is a great chance to find and explore more things about yourself. I've left this experience wanting to do more modelling work because I realised I'm actually ok at this and it's given me an outlet to express myself in ways I never thought I could before. In regards to job searching I haven't been very proactive, so I was very surprised when I received the call from Models Direct and I went to the filming job the following week. Now I will certainly be more active - by ensuring that I update my profile more often and searching for work, mainly because I really left this experience feeling like a different person as I explored another avenue of myself. I joined Models Direct, because my girlfriend suggested it would be a good idea. At first, I wasn't sure about modelling and I didn't really see myself as model, but I gave it a go, and wasn't it worth it?! I am now really looking forward to the next role I am offered. You know, it's not about the money, but more so that Models Direct will provide you with access to a positive and unique experience where you can learn more about different industries, different people but most importantly, yourself.

I did some further work with Protege International, and again they were fantastic to work for. The day was really enjoyable, a range of pictures were taken and I was given clear direction as to what was required. I would certainly work with them again in the future. Very professional. Thanks to Models Direct for yet another great assignment!

I was feeling a bit nervous on the night before my assignment. My job was to pose as someone charging an electric car at a car electric car charge point. I had to be at the location in Milton Keynes at 8.30am that morning. It was my first time as a model, but when I met the photo crew they made me feel very relaxed. At the end of the shoot I felt great as I had a lot of fun. I have a friend who wants to be a model and have told them to sign up to Models Direct, as I got work after only 2 months of registering! I will be keeping my e-portfolio up to date to ensure I get offered further exciting opportunities. I signed up with Models Direct to gain experience within the modelling industry, and a little extra money is always a bonus.

I have been working as a model for Models Direct for three years and this assignment was by far the most enjoyable. The care home shoot was organised to perfection (with no waiting around at all!), the location was very impressive and the food was excellent. It was a pleasure to work with Pat again and with Emma and Jade for the first time - I am sure they would agree it was a very happy team. The crew (Chris, Sophie and Laura) were very friendly and knew exactly what they required and got it from us in a very easy manner. I would be very happy to work with them anytime.

This is the second modelling job that I have got through Models Direct. I model very regularly and have to say the whole process through this agency and the clients is always very professional. Modelling for Persol Sunglasses was the first time I have been a 'hand model' - it was very interesting to experience a new type of work and has opened my eyes up to other potential opportunities, which I otherwise wouldn't have had without the booking provided through Models Direct.

I had a great time being a model for the day - the people I worked with were fantastic and we had lots of fun shooting. The setting was superb and the area was full of sublime natural beauty. I was so happy to get the phone call from Models Direct - modelling is something I have wanted to do for a long time and I was very pleased with the outcome. Looking forward to my next assignment with Models Direct - thank you!

Being an actor/entertainer for MediKidz in connection with Vision Express was an amazing and unforgettable experience. The most enjoyable part of the assignment was working with year two primary school kids and entertaining, teaching and informing them about eye care. The assignment required myself and a group of 4 other talents to dress up as MediKidz super heroes and go into a primary school and teach/inform kids about eye health care and how it is important. I certainly gained a new profound knowledge and gained experience on this assignment and would recommend this type of assignment to anyone especially those who loves to work in groups and with children. Thanks to Models Direct for the great opportunity!

It was great fun being not only being part of a team advertising and marketing a new product, but also being the face of that product. The most enjoyable part of the day was working with a very expensive car (Tesler) and the cameras, which brought a lot of interest from people passing by. The assignment was for a brochure linked to the car and was shot outside with lots of different locations and actions. As this was one of my first shoots, I learnt a lot about working with the photographer and the client to get the best shot as well as the benefit of making it fun. I would this recommend this experience to others, especially if you like being in the public eye, as people will be interested in what you are doing. My advice is remain adaptable, have a good sense of humour and enjoy what you are doing. I recommend joining an agency like Models Direct because of the feeling of being valued and having a professional team to support you. I joined the team to try something completely new and I am now pursuing a long term ambition.

This was the first assignment for me and to be honest, I was a bit nervous beforehand. I ended up however, having an interesting and enjoyable day, gaining more confidence as the day progressed. This was down to the photographer, Bob, who was a decent bloke and very helpful. The assignment was to have photographs taken for literature and posters etc, advertising and explaining about mobility vehicles. The initial photographs were taken in the shop, where an assistant was explaining the workings of a mobility scooter, and then I had drive round the shopping area (part of it was an pedestrian area and also road) of Worthing whilst photographs were taken as I maneuvered through people and obstacles, looking at shops etc. This was the most enjoyable part of the day. I learnt a lot about myself and that you have to get into a different mind set when doing this type of work, and just be confident in your own ability to adapt to different situations. I am very social, outward going and quietly confident so I like being the centre of attraction which comes with this type of work. I would definitely do it again - I had a great day and would recommend my agency Models Direct to anyone!

It was great doing what I love (acting) for such a great cause. I was not nervous beforehand because of how at ease the company I was working for made me feel prior to the job, and I was working with professionals who had done it before who eased me into it. Interacting with the kids was my favourite part of the assignment. The day involved playing superheroes for KS1 AND KS2 students to teach them about their bodies and different diseases that could affect them or those around them. I learnt a lot of new information that I would have otherwise forgotten had it not been for this assignment. I would recommend this experience to any one, it was brilliant from start to finish. It is a great move to join Models Direct - I have been offered assignments that cater to my performance skills. Ambition made me join up, and I hope it will make you too! :)

My video shoot yesterday for V2 Cigs was my first assignment through Models Direct. I was very impressed with the way everything was handled in advance by Molly, the Bookings Manager - she was quick to respond to any queries I had and passed all the details of the job to me with time to spare for me to make my travel arrangements (sounds basic I know, but believe me it doesn't always happen with other agencies!) The job itself was a lot of fun. We were filming an advert for e-cigarettes. The crew and other 2 models were really nice to work with and it was set in a lovely country house. All in all a nice day's work.....let's hope all my jobs are like this one!!

I really enjoyed the half day 'speed dating' video shoot for an e-cigarette brand. I was bit nervous beforehand as this was my first video assignment, but I had a great experience and the people were really nice and fun to work with. I have always wanted to be a model/actor and thanks to Models Direct I can now pursue this dream. I am very much looking forward to my next assignment. Many thanks, James

I had great fun on my video shoot for Delta Airlines, who booked me to play the part of a Pirate. There was a full filming crew and production team on site, so everything was organised. The place itself stood on a grand complex area of compounds split into lots of studios and stages, so the challenging part was trying to stop someone to ask them where Studio C was!The part of the acting I enjoy the most is preparing for the character. It can often bring absurdity and finesse within the comedy when a character comes to life. There was a costume department person and make-up team who were all on standby. The essential part was just to get down to some role playing and getting an idea of the storyboard, as well as listening attentively to the Associate Director and the instructions between takes. Scheduling was another important factor, so nailing it everytime was also essential. The job had a good lenient approach, not too much of a militant style but enough to keep everyone on their toes! The set designer often coming on stage to put the nooks and crannies onto certain areas as often when the overall creative magic and entire vision came from the Executive Director and somewhere very rarely when he came up to say 'good fellas, keep the energy up'. Character wise, I think for a Pirate is exploring his weakness which is the gold and the infamous treasure chest so we had to appear like scavengers with a hawk eyed prey for anything bad! I absoutely love Models Direct, Molly (the Booking Manager) is always endearing over the telephone and I enjoy staying in touch with the team. It is recommended to always put the latest portfolio pictures and description as you never know what opportunity is around the corner!

I had a good experience on my shoot for Avalon Vodka Untamed & Protege International and was treated really well. I was a little nervous beforehand but was put at ease by talking with the staff over coffee. I created a number of poses and expressions in a soldier outfit to advertise the product. It was very fun, so something I would definitely do again. My advice to others looking to work in the modelling industry would be to keep an open mind and enjoy the experiences. Thanks Models Direct for the opportunity!

I was very grateful when receiving news from Models Direct last week - that I had been booked to work as a promotions person in the local area to promote a good night out in our region. I was booked alongside a female model who I had previously worked with - we are both outgoing and energetic people which helped towards making the job a success. We were instructed to put up large posters in local shops and bill boards and to hand out flyers to people who we thought would be interested in the night out we were advertising. We interacted with lots of people on the streets of Great Yarmouth and got lots of interest for the event. Lots of people we spoke to were not actually from the area, but were still appreciative of the information for future reference and we found that the public really enjoyed our face to face style of promoting the event. I really enjoyed the work and it has helped me conclude that face to face promotion is the best way to sell an event - the public definitely enjoy some good old fashioned direct communication and a warm and friendly face. I would jump at the chance to do it again as I am very much a people person and I love being on the move. I highly rate Models Direct as an agency - they have been very helpful in kick starting my modelling career and I can't thank them enough for this!

On the way to the shoot I was very nervous, as I have never done anything like this before. Once I arrived however and met the other models it was like I had known them for ages - everyone was really really approachable and welcoming. It would be difficult to say what the most enjoyable part of the assignment was as every aspect of the shoot was absolutely fantastic. Meeting the other models was great as it was most of their first time also, so we all seemed to click and get on well together. We were given a variety of tasks - pretending to meet and greet our "parents", followed by being served dinner. Much of it was filmed as well as still shots being taken. We then went to the spa and pool which was magnificent and we couldn't have asked for better weather! Beach walks were included as well as cycling, playing in the sea with our "children" and we finished with a wonderful picture of us all on the edge of the sea. I've always found myself to be fairly confident, but never in front of camera as much. After this experience that has changed. I would most certainly recommend modelling to others as I had such a great time and meeting new people is always good. The locations and different scenarios the client provided were brilliant. I'm really glad I didn't bottle out like I thought I would! All I can say is go in with a relaxed attitude and make the most of your time - enjoy the experience many other people would only dream of and let your hair down. When I receive the photos I will be putting them straight on to my portfolio, as there were some excellent shots taken. I joined Models Direct as they seemed the most popular and organised agency around. I have only been with them a couple of months and they have already got me my first job. Really really happy!

I had a wonderful time at the shoot, the people doing the filming were very helpful, and my fellow actor / models were terrific, we all had great fun - meeting new and interesting people is always a pleasure! We were playing the part of a family enjoying a holiday at Medmerry Park, a large holiday complex of chalets on the South coast near Chichester. On the first afternoon, I was joined by three other models. I played the part of the grandfather, a charming lady played my wife, a very nice young man played our son, and finally a beautiful young lady played his wife (our daughter in law). We all became great friends. The next morning we were joined by two lovely children (a boy and a girl) playing my grandchildren. We swam, rode bicycles, enjoyed a jacuzzi, paddled in the sea - all the things a family does on holiday. This is the first time I have been on a film shoot, previous work has been studio stills. This was a great new experience which taught me a lot. I would certainly recommend this experience to others, it was great fun. I would advise anyone wishing to work in the talent industry to sign up with Models Direct and to have the best possible portfolio with excellent professional pictures. By all means use any contacts you have to pursue work yourself too. Keep in touch with your agency, let them know you are keen and willing to work and build a rapport with them. I was recommended by a friend to start modelling - obviously the money is a bonus, but I wanted something new and exciting to do - and to meet new people.

I loved my assignment with Penny Dreadful Menswear. Everybody was nice, friendly and professional and made me and my other colleague feel relaxed. The experience was fantastic - I was required to model a new brand of boxer shorts on a sailing boat with various poses and tasks. I would like to thank Models Direct for this opportunity.
