There are reputable modelling agencies that operate just fine in and around our big cities. There is scope for models in large urban areas, and there is the demand for it. The models and agencies know their cities and they’re familiar with their environs, so their business models work just fine.
Some people wanting to be involved in commercial modelling may live in more remote areas of the UK. Transport isn’t as convenient or regular, and there may be fewer opportunities. But why should they be on the backfoot from the start simply because they live outside a city?
We’ve made the point before that London is one of the best examples of a thriving global city that cater for anybody in any sector, from finance and banking to hospitality, retail and leisure. It’s probably the most famous city in the world, although New York and Paris might add to the bragging rights.
