Yes, it is true that glamourous modelling jobs are exciting and that high-profile projects are the ones that really stand out.
But, when it comes to most modelling assignments, it is the everyday that counts!
These are the jobs that form the bulk of what we do here at our very busy agency – these are the bookings we receive requests for, day in day out.
Here at Models Direct we are currently looking for everyday models aged between about 25 and 50 years old.
We need male and female models – we need people who are enthusiastic, confident enough to step out in front of a camera and eager to earn themselves a little extra money.
And, yes, that could be you!
Commercial modelling has a heavy reliance on everyday models. Clients of all sizes and types come to us requesting everyday models for their many everyday jobs.
These are the people you see on your television screens, phones and computers every day.
They might appear in photographs for brochures, magazines or newspapers; they might have roles in training videos at work or corporate presentations for clients and other businesses.
Everyday models play the parts of everyday people.
They step into the roles of shop assistants and shoppers, transport workers and passengers, doctors, nurses and patients in hospital….the list is endless…
They may have a major part to play in the client’s photo or film shoot or they may be one of the many extras required for the background, to make it look busy, realistic and representative of real life.
And this really is the key to exactly what an everyday model is.
Everyday models must look like everyday people – they must look realistic; they must blend in and they must look like they belong where they are
Everyday models can therefore look just like you and me.
They are not willowy supermodels or celebrities with perfect teeth and immaculate hairstyles – they are ordinary people who could be members of the general public.
It is easy to see why there is such high demand for everyday models and why we at Models Direct are constantly looking out for those who might be interested in this kind of work.
