Mums and dads, the time has come again!
Yes, with the new season, we at Models Direct are suggesting the moment is right to start thinking about updating your baby or child’s photos.
Spring is in the air and as we bounce into the blue skies and sunshine of better weather, we’d love to see the shining faces of your little ones in some gorgeous new photos.
But why do we ask the parents of our baby, toddler and child models to update the images on their e-portfolios?
Well, quite simply, it is the best step you can take towards helping them towards agency success.

As a reputable modelling agency, with a history stretching back some 35 years in the industry, we have a tried and tested system to help match the right clients with the right models.
We have placed thousands of models on assignments right across the UK and beyond – and you only have to read the many reviews we receive to see just how successful we are at doing so.
We also have a long and prestigious list of clients who have used our junior models and appreciate our efficient, professional and friendly service.
Those who have booked our baby and child models, for example, include Pampers, Disney, Sky, Kickers, Morrisons, Tesco, Start-Rite Shoes, Tottenham Hotspur and Transport for London (TfL).
And the list just goes on and on…
We have children of all ages, backgrounds and looks on our books.
And that is just the way we like it because any one of our clients could approach us on any single day requiring a youngster of a particular age and appearance.
Our system is simple, when any model is requested (baby, child, male, female or even pet…), our agents peruse our books to create a shortlist of people who fit the bill.
These are individuals of the right age and description – and occasionally they also have to have a certain level of experience or particular skills.
They must be able to travel to the location of the shoot and they (or their parents) must be available to attend the assignment.

We then send this shortlist to our clients and they make the final choice as to who they would like for their project.
Our team at Models Direct does not make that final decision.
Baby and child modelling is competitive, which is why it can take some time to be selected.
And we ask you to update your little one’s photos regularly to improve their chances of being picked.
We cannot put a young model forward for a job if their e-portfolio only features outdated pictures.
This is because babies, toddlers and small children grow and change so rapidly.
We (and our clients) need to know what a youngster looks like at almost the very moment of booking, which is why we have to see recently taken and uploaded shots.
Spring is a superb time to take new pictures because the weather is improving and you have plenty of opportunity to get out and about with your phone or camera.
Any new season can be a great reminder for updating photos and information on an e-portfolio – just the same as a new haircut or noticing that your little one has shot up can be a perfect moment.
Taking your baby or child along to a modelling assignment is such a rewarding experience that it is worth doing all you can from your side to help reach that point.
This is what the parents of two of our young models told us after they attended assignments with their offspring.
Chloe’s mum said:
“My 11-year-old daughter Chloe had an amazing photo shoot for Aviva last week.
“She had an awesome time and everyone there made her feel very welcome and comfortable straight away.
“The communication with Models Direct was perfect from beginning to end.
“Charlie and Justine kept us up to date with information and checked in with us before and after the shoot – they were amazing.
“Chloe was buzzing after and she cannot wait to do more work.
“What a fab experience for Chloe for her first photo shoot.
“Thank you.”
And Orlando’s mum said he loved being part of a shoot for Say it With Diamonds, telling us:
“Thank you so much for the great opportunity.
“My little boy and I had a lovely time.
“It was our first time.
“The team made us feel welcome and were very supportive.”
