Return to blog…

Our model families get busy because bookings for real groups of real relatives just keep rolling in…

And this is also the time of year you could well see some of our families popping up on screen or in other publicity as spring advertising campaigns start gaining momentum.

As an agency that prides itself on finding work for everyday models – men, women, children and pets – Models Direct is thrilled to be able to represent genuine modelling families too.

You probably know by now that we work with some of the biggest brands and highest profile companies and corporations in the world.

Latest posts…

We also team up with the very best of British, including local, regional and national names requiring models for all sorts of projects.

And, if this is something you are not yet aware of, then take a moment to skim through our client list and follow us on social media.

As well as requesting everyday individual models who are good, genuine representations of the general public, many of these clients will also ask us for real families.

While any agency worth its salt can put groups of models together to form pretend families for shoots, we can offer the real thing.

And our clients can’t get enough of them!

This is because they know just how well real families work together and how truly authentic they appear in photos and films.

A typical modelling campaign will start with the client identifying the type of family they would like to employ and giving us the brief.

We will search through our books to come up with some fabulous families that meet their precise requirements, then they will select the family (or families) they would like to use.

Our agent will then tell our modelling family more about the job and they can decide whether or not to accept it.

A spring modelling campaign could well be shot outside – the advertisers will want the images to look bright, fresh and enticing.

Looking to hire models?

This means our family models might have been asked to turn up at an outdoor location close to where they live or whether they would be happy to travel elsewhere.

And, if they did have to travel, this was probably with all expenses paid.

Some shoots take place over a few days, so they might also have been given accommodation too…

For certain campaigns – holidays, attractions, days out etc – they would be asked to really throw themselves into the whole experience.

So this might mean spending time on a beautiful beach, trying out leisure activities or tucking into ice creams, popcorn and other treats.

It’s not hard to see why our families love modelling so much!

All models have to follow instructions and there can be some waiting about on set, but everyone on our books – including our families – is always well looked after.

The production team on the day will make sure they are comfortable, warm and have time out for refreshments.

A lot of behind-the-scenes activity goes into every shoot and a spring family modelling campaign is no exception – but there is so much enjoyment to be had as well.

If you and your family are interested in joining us, then why not read the reviews from others who already work with us.

For example, this is what the Harewood family said after taking part in a Models Direct assignment near Great Yarmouth:

“We had the best time on our recent family photo shoot.

“We were able to experience lots of fun activities over the two days.

“We did mini Segways, bungee trampolines, a swimming pool shoot, a beach shoot, an inflatable assault course, crazy golf, crafts, evening dining and we got involved in the entertainment activities also.

“We had an amazing time and everything exceeded our expectations.

“We were very well looked after throughout the whole process, which has left us all feeling very happy.”
